Unable to email Vistana reservation confirmation?

For the last 2 days I have been unable to get a reservation emailed to a guest or myself from the Vistana website. I can log in and open the reservation, go to the "email confirmation" tab and enter an email address and "send" it. I also get an "email sent" message but my guest never gets the email. I tried emailing it to myself, get the same message that the email was sent, but I never get it. Sometimes it used to take up to an hour or two, but never 2 days without an email. Anyone else having this issue?

I just tried emailing a reservation to myself (WKV) and got it within the usual 10-20 minutes both on Yahoo Mail and Gmail.

It could be resort specific. What resort are you trying?

Looks like their system doesn't play well with hotmail. When I sent it to my gmail, it went through fine.
 
I recall trying this after MVC takeover, I believe the email confirmation only goes to the email address on record, and changing the email field has no effect.
 
You can still email confirmations to anyone you choose by entering their email address in the appropriate box on your Vistana Acct. BUT, some email providers see Vistana confirmations as SPAM, and block the emails - hotmail is one of them.

I just explain this to the guest, and ask them to provide another email address from another provider to send the confirmation to - that works every time.
 
Hotmail is also msn.com and outlook.com. So those email domains might block the Vistana emails too.

Could be. I am not getting mine at all. I guess I need to change my email on the Vistana site. I have had so many issues lately with Vistana confirmations not arriving in my inbox, yet the Marriott numbers arrive immediately. Lordy, the drama I have with "formerly Vistana."

Edited to add: Last email I received from Vistana was 3/2.

I now have a case number because Vistana couldn't get the email to go through either. I have an MSN email.

I stand corrected - I did just forward a reservation confirmation to another other my gmail accounts and it showed up.
It didn't forward when I tried to do the same a while back (2 years ago?). Good to know.

I finally had my confirmations sent to gmail.

I am surprised that it's not an issue for more owners. I call to say something and they act like I am the only person who is complaining about it.

Because it happens to those of us with msn/hotmail/outlook emails...for whatever reason there are a few email servers don't play well with Microsoft.

It's not that common...I'd say the last time was around a year ago. So I have another one that I give to companies when it happens.

Yay!

I'll note that for the first time ever, Microsoft decided yesterday that any email sent from an iPhone or iPad with only the "Sent from my iPXXX" text in the body of the message is dangerous spam and sent me an 'Undeliverable' message from the Postmaster. Never a dull day when you have a Microsoft email account...;-)
