Keurig mini at resort replacing traditional coffee pots?

We have been to Custom house in Boston a few times. We like to brew our own coffee, typically we bring it with us. In the early to mid 2010s they had the same coffee pot that is a most MVC clubs. We were there summer of 2024, and we were disappointed they had switched to Keurig. The only good thing is they do have brewed coffee in the Counting room.
Oh. So that's what those coffee things were? Keurig. I'm not a coffee drinker but my mother was part of our Christmas week 2025 group at the Custom House. And she has to have her coffee. So, on her behalf, I did what you did and simply went down to the Counting Room. As I recall, they had complimentary coffee as of 6:30 although a la carte breakfast doesn't start till 7. And they kept the brewed coffee container(s) filled pretty much all day. As I recall also, no French Vanilla creamer as my mother likes although she "endured" not having it.

What we had last year at Boston and San Diego before that wasn’t a Keurig. It was a single serving coffee maker with a single serve basket of Starbucks coffee sealed in a foil wrapper. They have these in their hotel rooms as well. I’m looking at one right now.
Similar, but definitely not a Keurig mini.

We recently returned from a stay in Washington DC. Of note our unit at the Mayflower had a Keurig Mini with 4 pods of coffee provided. I wonder if this will be a trend for the future? If it is they’ll need to do a better job cleaning the machines. Apparently someone had tried to “reheat” a cup by pouring it through again and the water reservoir again. I had to do a little cleaning on it and run several cups of water through it until the water came out clear again. Even then I preferred to just go to the reception area on the 7th.floor and get a cup of coffee from their machine.
Doug, I'm assuming this was the Mini and not the Mini plus. The difference is the plus has a removal reservoir and the regular one does not.

I have too and the coffee is about what you would expect ;) .
The coffee is so bad. I get cranky when I see these at a hotel. I am truly using 3 oz of water with one of those packets to get something that tastes like coffee.

Just the the mini. I tried removing the reservoir to clean it and it wouldn’t come off

We have the Mini Plus we use sometimes for travel or backup. The reservoir is a little bit of a pain to put back on.
