I booked a 2 bd throug II (*from a studio) and paid and upgrade fee of 259$ or so? I retraded to a 1bd (different city and still a marriott) and still had to pay another fee 118$ (All with marriott exchanges), Is this correct? I figured once I paid upgrade fee I can retrade for no fee.

First, for the savings on upgrade fees, you should get II Platinum membership. The upgrade fees are $59 per step up.

That doesn't make sense that you would pay upgrade fees again.

I have my own issues with II right now, and I was hoping to commiserate with someone with the same issue. I feel alone in my aggravation.

Do share, so we can ensure you don't feel alone, no need for that, there's plenty of us here 🙏
I have to use my II app, no longer can I see My History on my laptop. I love using my laptop.

I had a 2023 Sheraton Broadway Resort week in a two bedroom that was going to expire, booked a week for 12/14-12/21/2025 at a Marriott in Orlando, extending it with eplus retrade to use up to the same week next year, December of 2026. I have 3 retrades that I cannot use.

I booked this Orlando week months ago (it would have expired 12/31/2025).

It should be good until next year. I cannot even see off-season weeks at Sheraton Steamboat Springs or Westin Avon with the week, not even a studio.

Maybe I am doing something wrong on the app. I am not a person who uses a cell phone for anything besides texts and to check my emails when I am at the kids' houses.

I can book San Clemente Inn for January, not much else.

This is either a severe drop in trading power or I am inept.

Those fees don't seem to match what you are describing. Double upgrade is not 259 and single upgrades not 118 unless something changed. I've never been charged upgrade fees twice.

Have you tried the mobile website? I don't know if that works better for the history info than the full website?
How do you get to that? Just go to Google and login that way on a phone?

Yes, try the mobile site first ands see if it works any better, and if not, down the bottom of any page is "View Full Site" to try. Just an off chance that they are hosted differently so you can see the info.

My history goes way back to 1995, lots of exchanges since then. If II would just delete all of the history from 2020 back to 1995, I would be able to see my history again.

Have you asked Mark DelCampo about this? Mine is slow but I can still use my laptop. It seems like something that they *should* change as it affects their most loyal customers.

I haven't asked him. If I didn't have several years of membership left on that account, I would just open a new account.

I already have two that I pay for because our deeds are different. That sounds like a great excuse, until you realize that some of the deeds shouldn't be in the account they are in. In other words, it all makes no sense.

First, what is your membership level with II?
Is the week you were using to trade enrolled in Abound?
Second, what resort are you exchanging out of, is it a Marriott.
Did you retrade into a Marriott?

As David said, those fees don't really line up with anything except the $118 lines up as a Platinum member upgrading from a studio to a 2BR. I am not sure what the $259 is. Is that the correct amount? Guessing doesn't help us answer your question.

I have a platinum membership.
The week is enrolled.
The week was a studio at Grand Chateau
The original exchange was to Marriott Doral 2bd. Cost me I think 200$ or so?
Then retraded into a 1bd Ft Laud Beach Towers. Charged me 118 I believe.

If your week is enrolled (and using your corporate II account) there is no cost to exchange but need to pay the upsize fee. You can retrade for free 100+ times, and only pay upsize once. You should have no other fees than the upsize, so you may be using the wrong account?

Also, the only benefit to platinum is reduced upsize fees, so does not make sense to have this.

If you check your email confirming your trades, you will see exactly what you were charged. See below.

Did you perhaps do the first exchange when II was running a free upgrade promotion? I think you need to look and see what they actually charged you. Not "or so" or "I believe". Were you actually charged for the first trade at all? If they were running a free upgrade promo you wouldn't have been charged an upgrade fee, though you also shouldn't have been charged this time either.

If you retraded into only a 1BR, the max upgrade fee you would have to pay was one step and with II platinum it would be $59.

Is it possible you paid for E-plus for $89 when you don’t need it? Agree that the other fees don’t make sense.

No need for eplus as their week is enrolled, though it does give that as an option to enrolled weeks (scam.)

Right and I hate how it’s auto selected and you have to consciously unselect it!

Did your original exchange request include non Marriott properties? Is there any chance you did this through a personal II account even if the week is enrolled. Please provide follow up once you get this sorted out to help all of us avoid similar issues.

+1. It is very likely that non-Marriott was added to the initial exchange request and hence the regular exchange fee was charged.

All OP has to do is look at their email trade confirmation as I noted above to see exactly what they were charged for and how much.

True, this may answer the what but doesn't necessarily answer the why which is the real question I believe. I'm curious as to the specifics but I do believe that some level of investigation should be done before involving Mark. I'd go through my documentation, call II directly and only involve Mark if that didn't clear up the issue.

I guess my point is that OP seems unclear (as dioxide notes) and doesn't even know what they were charged and for what. They need to get to that point to see if there even is an error or discrepancy at all.

On this I think we all agree and before any escalation through back door channels.
