My Survey - What Should I buy?

Would any expert like to give recommendations of what I should look to buy with the goal of minimizing our MF per point?
Maybe look into Worldmark (yes, they are owned by Wyndham but still some differences) for a pure points product, or a high -season HGVC week at a low-MF resort, as those automatically come with a points overlay, to give you added flexibility.

Have you tried seeing what your Hyatt points in II. You may not get the best points ratio in the Hyatt system, but you should be able to get some decent exchanges that might refresh your view of what you have.

All the best
I have deposited one year previously in II from Hyatt. I found it difficult to use and low return on my MF. The same weeks were available for bonus certificates for the exchange fee with no exchange needed. What should I do differently?

Thank you for your expert advice. I need to read up on both systems. I went to one HGVC sales presentation and liked the model, but of course didn’t buy. Do you have any specific HGVC property in mind I should look for?

You may want to look through the HGVC forum, you can find discussions on the best resorts for $/point MFs. But wherever you buy, always go for the highest possible season as you get more points but pay the same MFs as the same size unit in low season.

If you're only getting resorts that are available on accom certs then I assume that you aren't putting in a request or you don't have enough points to get where and what you want.

Requests get assigned before what you can see when you manually search so you are missing a lot if you aren't making requests.

You are correct. I’ve never made a request in either II or RCI yet. That’s uncharted territory for me. I need to venture into it soon.

As you are a TUG member, you can see the sightings forum. Go and take a look at what other people spot, but also remember, this doesn't include what gets filled by requests. Its just a lot more than you will see by manually searching on your own.

Your target resorts could be, Four seasons Scottsdale or Aviara in shoulder season. MVC resorts wherever you want to go that they are. DVC Orlando, or any places you want to try and there's decent options for your points.
All the best.

Given that you want to trade into something different each year, I'd hold off getting anything new until you have a good handle on trading. If you aren't using requests, then you are just seeing the leftovers. Most of the good or even ok stuff goes to those requests. And you want your request in early enough so that it is there when a bulk deposit comes through. Your Pinyon Point should be a decent trader, even a silver week, as long as you manage expectations. You certainly should be able to do better than AC level items.
Your Wyndham gives you access to RCI and the Hyatt to II. Both operate differently but the underlying advice is the same.
