I don’t want to change topics …. But on the children … geez, it’s crazy how some parents are raising wolves, we are at the reserve 601 in Orlando, their private pool has toddlers in the adult jacuzzi, screaming kids at midnight etc… not worth the extra points I paid for a more selective area! I so get it, but overall better than a carnival cruise… or is itScreaming Children in the adult pool - I mean blood-curdling screaming. The kind that makes you get up off your chaise to make sure they're okay. So...
2 of us went up to the front desk to bring it to someone's attention - 3 children were using the adult pool - actually jumping off the rocks/bridge into the cove with the waterfall. They sent someone out to the deck - he walked by them and continued walking past. He did nothing. I stopped him and asked why. He said they were old enough (16) to use the pool. I said adults know not to scream as if someone is attacking you - children - at least 2 of them were under 14 - not so much. Can you do something about them jumping off the bridge and their noise level. He went back to talk to them.
Smoking... I don't care as long as it's away from me - if I can walk away to avoid it, I'm okay with "breaking that rule" -
Where is there an adult pool? Most pools I see are just "quiet pools" and it seems they were breaking the rule there. I know a few properties in Hawaii have "adult pools" but I haven't really seen any in the mainland US.Screaming Children in the adult pool - I mean blood-curdling screaming. I forget whether the pool at GPP in Carlsbad is called an adult pool or a quiet pool (have seen plenty of loud kids & louder adults at times, although most folks are respectful, thankfully)...."adult pools" but I haven't really seen any in the mainland US.

That reminds me about our life on Kauai in the 80's when sugar was still grown.Ha! When we were first married (1969), we lived across the street from a Wonder/Hostess bakery. If we woke up around two o'clock AM, we'd smell freshly baked Wonder Bread coming out of the oven. That wasn't so bad. But every Sunday, at 2 PM, they ran the Hostess cupcakes and the warm chocolate smell was almost irresistible.
GPP and CSR both have Adult pools. I thought adult meant 18+ ... is the definition different in different states?I forget whether the pool at GPP in Carlsbad is called an adult pool or a quiet pool (have seen plenty of loud kids & louder adults at times, although most folks are respectful, thankfully)....

We were there extensively for the last 2 weeks (at the KL Adult pool; no-one under 16 permitted).Guess, I should have mentioned it was King's Land - the AP is behind the clubhouse/sales offices. There is a beautiful cove with a waterfall and a bridge - Stunning! The "16 year olds" were jumping off the bridge railings.
