HI. I m looking for buy a TS in Interval international, one good option is a triannual TS ,but the usage year is 2028....if I pay in advance the 3 year MF . I can deposito it in II? There is another option of use in II . Like buy some points ? IM OPEN FOR ANY IDEAS
...thanks

Triannual vs Triennial

Triannual (three times a year)
Triennial (every three years)

I have (had - just gave away) a biennial and your assumption is correct.
If you pay the maintenance fee for the unit and your membership fee to II, you can deposit it once the use date for the immediate past use year is past. In other words, for a September 1 , 2028 use year, you can deposit starting September 2, 2025. At least this is what happened with my biennial unit.
Some things to consider.
1. Your resort may not allow it. If they allow it, you must pay the maintenance fee to cover now till use year (some people pay once during use year, others pay yearly in divided amounts)
2. Do you have another unit that you are using in II. If yes, then no problem to buy a triennial. If not, you are paying II every year with nothing to exchange unless you want to use the certificates and cash reservations.

Based on your post you seem to have a rudimentary understanding of II and timeshare in general. Please go to the what should I buy forum to get better responses.

It will probably depend on the property you own. This may require paying for the 2026, 2027, and 2028 fees in advance (if billed annually) or prepaying the 2028 fees. THe resort may also not permit a deposit that far in advance. I don't know how early II will accept a deposit.

In any case, I am not sure there are any timeshares out there in this type of situation that would be worth paying all those fees for a year of use. You can often get a timeshare with free usage included. So you may be able to buy in, say 2027, with 2028 usage and not have to pay the 2026 or 2027 fees.

What timeshare is every three years?

I have a triennial Grandview Las Vegas with RCI points. It works great for me. There is also a weeks option if your unit is not enrolled in points.

The only triennial option I'm aware of is Grandview. Which isn't compatible with II. Are you sure you're unit is accepted by II?

I believe @AwayWeGo owns or owned a triennial. I thought it was in Florida.
We used to have a 2BR Florida triennial RCI points unit at Vacation Village At Parkway (Kissimmee).

We sold that & bought a 1BR Las Vegas triennial RCI points unit at Grandview -- roughly half the points for about 50% cheaper maintenance fees.

So far, so good.

Hello, and thank you to everyone who responded. This forum is wonderful, and the members are wonderful as well.
I have a triennial from Grandview, which is excellent on RCI. I'm looking for a "twin" on Interval International. I think Vacation Village Williamsburg might be the perfect match. I saw a triennial on RedWeek, but it had a usage date of 2028, which is a very long time to wait. I'm trying to figure out (and convince my wife, "the boss") if we'll be able to use something in these two years. On RCI, we can buy points, but my knowledge of Interval International is really basic. Thanks to everyone, and I'm open to suggestions.

The VV at Williamsburg will trade as a week unless it was originally designated as points. I haven't seen a points version of it. I have only seen a points version of the sister resort: The Colonies at Williamsburg.
If this is a weeks unit, you cannot buy extra weeks to top off. If it is points, I am not sure if you can buy those either.
The only thing you can do is to use the accomodation certificates (similar to bonus weeks in RCI) or gateways (similar to Extra vacations in RCI).
If you are not planning on using either of this, then I don't think it is worth it except the unit you are buying is a lock off. You use one side one year, and use the other side another year. This is how I am using my biennial Colonies unit together with the accomodation certificates.

Ocean Landings in Cocoa Beach.

The ones being given away for free might be 1BR units. Someone was trying to give one away here. The $333 MF units are studios and are more sought after.

Thanks again ,someone knows where I can find if prepaying 3 years in advance I can deposito it in II? 👃

I will try reach williamsburg vacation members service and Interval International . Thanks .

After figuring out how well the name-branded Sheraton and Marriott work via exchange for exchange purposes through II. wouldn't buy anything else, nor would I take anything for free.

Here I am, trying to give away a week at a generic resort, and I feel guilty for giving away a so-so timeshare.

Love my Sheratons and Marriotts, they are worthy of the cost.
