Does anyone know if Wyndham provides shuttle service from the airport? I also remember something about them offering a free limo to VIP owners. I don't remember it'd that was for only owners at grand desert or all VIP.

Thanks,

Jason

Its for Gold and Platinum VIP owners only. However if they dont have a VIP scheduled they will take any owner. Its free, but the driver works for tips.

I just talked to someone at the resort the other day, and yes they will pick you up at the airport, They ask for a 24 hour advance notice

When I was there about 18 months ago I wasnt a VIP but I used the limo every day, even to buy groceries. And they took us to the airport when I checked out.

So if we are on approach for landing in Vegas, would that count as 24 hours? Lol

I guess that depends on if you spend the night in the airport!

When I was there 6 months ago it was used very little....give it a shot they might be just sitting there doing nothing.

I was wondering this myself. I am not VIP, but have been scoping out limo services to drop us off and pick us up from the clubs.

Jason..

even if the limo is not available Las Vegas cabs are cheap and the resort is very close to the airport

Unless you are going to the club early or leaving the club after the sun comes up you will need to find another limo service.

I would recommend renting a car. You'll spend close to what you would in a car rental a day in cab fare but you won't have to wait etc. Every hotel will valet your car for free just tip the guy.

Resort is close to the Airport but not that close to the strip. If I recall right its 2 mile walk to Harrahs. The shuttle is ok comes fairly regular but you'll waste 30min or so. You get dropped off in the back of Harrah's too and if you want to go anywhere else its a fair walk from Harrahs to even Ceasers which is across the street.

I used the Limo to the airport, but when i was there in the summer it was pretty regularly used. I really think a rental car is best.

Bummer. We were going to rent a mini van... but there will be 9 of us... and for sure, we won't be in driving condition after the clubs. Looks like I need to continue looking for limo services.

I found that the rental car route worked well for me as well, the last time I was out there. The convenience alone is worth it plus and as Uppie mentioned, the hotels will valet for free. If you plan on drinking at night (or day) cabs a readily available and a shuttle is no stranger to drunken behaviour ;)

Hey Jason, Wyndham Grand Desert doesn’t offer a free airport shuttle, and while they used to have complimentary limo service for VIP owners (mainly Platinum and up), that perk isn’t always guaranteed anymore—best to call and check based on your status. If it’s not available, I’d definitely recommend booking a private car or limo service like Presidential Limousine or Earth Limos—they’re reliable, know the area well, and make for a smooth, stress-free airport pickup.

Grand Desert hasn't had limo service for several years. It was a great perk at time. I believe Lee was the drivers name.

They don't offer airport service or the VIP limo service anymore, but they do still offer free shuttle service to/from the resort to the strip. The drop off spot is supposedly near the Paris casino. Over the years it's dropped you off different places on the strip, but now it's Paris.

They also offer a paid shuttle to/from Walmart a couple times a day. Your best bet is to uber or cab for airport.

It's my understanding that the 2014 dates of posts prior to today were 11 years ago.

Post #13 is this guy's first message - I smell a spammer...

I believe the strip drop-off/pickup is at the side of the Horseshoe on Flamingo Blvd. It is connected to Paris as they are both Caesars casinos.

Yes, his name was Lee. You had to own at Grand Desert to be able to book it.

For our now DIL's 21st birthday our son used the limo to take her to dinner at the Mirage's Kokomo restaurant. We'd added him as an owner as soon as he turned 21. We'd eaten there a few days before they got there so I knew to have him reserve a table by the waterfall. The restaurant at that time was offering a very nice pre-fixe menu and the service was elegant. She was so impressed! After dinner they walked next door to Treasure Island for Ka, a Cirque du Soleil show. That set the bar pretty high for what did your boyfriend do for your 21st birthday, lol!

A couple years later in 2009 our son joined us in Las Vegas for a long weekend to see a U-2 concert. I told him to offer to share the limo as Lee worked for tips. When he went out front there were 3 thirty something men who were long time friends waiting for a taxi. One of them a doctor, one a lawyer, and the other in finance. Our son figured they'd tip generously. They were very happy to be offered a ride and quite impressed that a 23 year old had a limo to get to the concert. I knew what to expect with the traffic congestion getting to Sam Boyd Stadium so I'd arranged the time for the limo to leave much earlier than our son thought was necessary. Those guys had been told the wait for a taxi was 30 minutes already, if you were lucky. They shared their ice cold bottle of Stoli with our son and all had a good time on the ride. Here's the best part of the story. Our son worked at Best Buy while he was in college. The GM of his store was going out for the concert with a couple friends. My son asked me if I could book them a unit. He told the GM I was able to offer them a two bedroom unit if they wanted it but they weren't interested in staying at the timeshare. The next time our son saw him at work after they got back they were trading weekend stories. The GM and his buddies booked a hotel room they'd paid a hefty price for and had to share beds. Oh well, he was sorry they hadn't taken the offer to have their own beds, two bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. Between the wait for a taxi and traffic slowing a standstill several times while stiil quite a distance from the venue, they missed all of the opening group and at least a third of U-2's performance. To make it even worse we did some other fun stuff they could've done too if they taken his offer for the stay.

I stayed at the GD a few days before my friends flew in. Picked them up at the airport with beer on ice and all got dropped off at the Palms to stay. Got picked up at the Palms and dropped off at the strip for dinner. Life was good.
