MOC room assignments

I have a 2 bedroom OF in the newer towers reserved with destination points. How are the rooms assigned? What is the worst location? What is the best? We own OF at the Westin and have never stayed at the Marriott.

They are all great, though some of the lowers may have trees in view. See below (Napili/Lahaina.) Dark blue are fixed, light blue float (most likely you.) I am not sure if a code distinguishes these.

Every time we have booked OF in the newer towers with points we have been assigned to Napili tower. That’s where most of the OF float units are located. We have never booked a 2BR though, always a 1BR OF.

There aren’t really best and worst. OF can be placed in Napili or Lahaina and we’ve requested and been given both. Napili is slightly closer to Whalers Village but on average the views from Lahaina are slightly better. The parking next to Napili is better but often full because it is smaller.

I am curious - it appears all of the 3 bedrooms OF were sold as fixed? Is that fixed week and fixed unit?

Yes. I believe all 3BR are fixed week and fixed unit.

We’ve been shown 2br in Napili that could be locked off but I’ve never seen an “ official “ floor plan of such a unit, only a traditional single single entrance 2/2. Can anyone point me at an up to date drawing?
MOC website no help, shows same 2br floor plan for both old and new towers.
We’re looking to book 2br for 2026.

It looks like there may only be dedicated units in the Island View and Garden View. This is what I could find from the II unit codes list.

ZZAF....Maui Ocean Club Sequel......Garden View........2BR dedicated unit in Lahaina Tower.
TOVI....Maui Ocean Club Sequel......Island View........2BR dedicated unit in Napili Tower.

I’m pretty sure there are some 2BR Ocean View units that are non-lock off in Lahaina Tower. I believe they are the units on the south side facing the Hyatt.

No. I don’t think so. All 3BR are OF. As I understand it the single entry 2BR in Lahaina Tower are OV. Maybe there are MGV also, but not 100% sure. I may be wrong, but that is what I thought. I think all are on south side of Lahaina facing the Hyatt. I think Ralph (@TXTortoise ) would know for sure.

My understanding is that there are 2 BR single entry GV & OV in Lahaina tower only and 2 BR single entry IV in Napili only. I was able to confirm those are present looking for resesrvation using abound points. I'm not certain but I don't believe there are any 2 BR dedicated units that are OF for either tower that are stand along (ie not part of a 3 BR).
