Parking fee at BeachPlace, and perhaps others

Call BPT Directly and ask them what the policy is. This is likely your best bet.
I appreciate your suggestion
I tried that approach earlier this week
The person who answered the phone did not know
He forwarded me to several different people
All of whom were unable to give me a definitive answer
The person in charge of billing said she could not provide an answer without seeing my reservations
She said she could not see my reservations until 2 weeks before my arrival
This is why I am looking for the written guidelines
The confusion and lack of printed information about the policy at BPT specifically is irritating

Now that's crazy. They should know what their own darn policy is and be able to articulate it!!

I find I can't always rely on that either. For a long time we thought Westgate resorts had resort fees. I even called them and they said I would pay a resort fee on an II booking. Staff there doesn't seem to know enough on how to differentiate what type of booking you have. They just go by what the computer says.
I think if you ask three different front desk staff about parking policies at pretty much any MVC property, you will get three different answers.

Yes
And it is how Marriott runs a company these days
Two of the richest men in the world made their success on making sure all the details were resolved
Amazon became a huge retailer while operations like Sears bit the dust
Tesla outdid all of the old-line automakers by understanding what they were doing wrong

The lack of a clear written policy isn't unique to Beachplace Towers. None of the properties really have anything in writing that is published anywhere. Some properties have had parking fees for a long time for non-timeshare based stays.Westin Desert Willow being one of them. It just seems that the policies across many other properties are more consistent. I suspect that BPT is the same as other resorts except that the fee is $35 instead of $25 for non-timeshare guests.

I understand the front staff being non-committal
Welcome to xxx resort
No you shouldn't be charged parking
On checkout day
You told me I would not be charged for parking
And now I am charged
The ensuing commotion will imprint on the brain of all involved to stay "stupid" regarding parking

You should know at the beginning of the stay. At the beginning of our stay at BPT they gave us a parking pass with a bar code, they told us where to park (special area for Marriott BPT parking). The bar code tag swiped us in and out of that area and there was no charge associated with it. I just reviewed my bill to be sure. The only limitation was one car per reservation.

Thanks for taking the time to respond and provide information on this issue
The billing people at BPT told me they will let me know about paid parking as soon as they can see my reservation
I am annoyed at the lack of written guidance on the rules for paying or not paying for parking at BPT
I do not expect to pay for parking based on your experience and other members' experience with their stay at BPT
