Went to Aruba Surf for the last 2 years in October and really enjoyed the Aquafit classes offered there. Ever since, I have been checking these classes out (when offered) at the MVC resorts we visit. It made me wonder which resorts regularly offer them and which ones people have tried and would recommend.

We have tried them at Marriott Grand Ocean, Marriott Monarch, Marriott OceanWatch and more recently at the Marriott Monor Club, but our favorite classes were at Aruba Surf (bordering on addictive sometimes, lol) and the Marriott Monarch was (a close) second!

Thoughts (and info as to where they are offered) would be appreciated!

I saw some at Lakeshore last time I was there and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

You can see each resorts weekly activity schedule in the MVC app if you want to check if a particular resort has the,.

Ocean Pointe at Singer Island FL has great pool aerobics classes as well as stretch classes and other interesting exercise classes. Check it out on the property site.

I liked the Surf Club classes as well, and enjoyed Surfwatch’s when we were there in Jan

^^^ this - the deeper pool helps too for tall people like me. The activities director there a few years ago was completing the aquafit workout on the pool deck, including all the jumps, etc. Then she destroyed me in the core class. I don't think she's there anymore, but the most recent time we got a good workout out of it.

Grande Vista's was pretty good, so was Surfwatch and Monarch. We don't like it at Cypress Harbour.

I think it also depends on what you're trying to get out of it - we're pretty athletic for people in our 50s so we want a harder workout, so that's our frame of reference.

Thanks for the info about the MVC app! Unfortunately two of the resorts I was wondering about (Newport Coast and Fairway villas) dont seem to post their activities but will find out soon enough! Thanks again, I really do need to start using the app more often!

@Davey54321 I know Newport coast has their schedule there on the app.
On the app search the resort, and then on the left click activities
Scroll down and you see activity schedule to click on at the bottom of the game room photo.
All the resorts I have looked at have their schedules there.

Although I'm not a participant, the classes at Crystal Shores appear to be very popular. I typically go to the pool early when the classes are going on and they are always pretty full.

So you are 100% correct! But just as an fyi, while the activity schedules dont load on my pixel phone (I get No Results), they DO load using my ipad app. I am not that surprised, but may let them know at some point…

(Browser or OS issue;though I am newly retired, I will always recognize a defect for what it is, lol!)

Thanks again for the info!
