Wyndham do not sell or bother list exist?

Side thought. I own at Bentley Brook. Has sales been authorize to target those owners to get us to trade in the deeds and purchase new points???? I have yet to be contacted by HOA BB to notify of it's closing.

Another update on DNG. Sales in Myrtle Beach took me off a corporate assigned DNG yesterday. I just confirmed today. I need to go to "priority" meeting at Williamsburg" ( just checked in to). It is claimed that I need to finish the roll over registration to T&L. THEN they THINK they will put back DNG! It is not going to be a good morning for someone!!! INCREDIBLE!

The whole thing with the "do not contact/gift or whatever" list is that it assumes that somebody who lies for a living will honor it.

I may get ambushed at my next trip in September, but I haven’t been for about 5 years now.

In Branson I was approached in a supermarket to do a sales presentation at a resort nearby.
same thing in the wax museum. Must have been desperate to get customers. I refused both times.

Was it Price Chopper next to the Walmart off the main road? If so… we did it because they have us a $400 visa gift card, 2 tickets to the aquarium and 2 tickets to indoor mini golf. The presentation lasted less than 2 hours and wasn’t high pressure. Very similar to a Wyndham one. Sales meet and greet, video in a group, then sales in an office followed by another “closer”

Just respond back by hanging around and telling the other victims about TUG and how you can get resale timeshares for free. If they complain just say if you don't bother me I won't bother your other potential victims.

That's nonsense! There is nothing to roll over to Travel & Leisure.

I think the people that Wyndham corporate put on the list for its own purposes are more likely to be honored than the people who were added by owner request. Wyndham corporate does have people it doesn’t want sold to, and I expect there are consequences if local staff doesn’t follow corporate’s instructions.

I’m not being bothered so there is nothing to respond to. I get my keys and wristbands and go to my room. No offers for “owner updates”. No questions. No pressure. No arguments. Just a quick checkin for the necessities and I’m on my way.

This is a very long update. I apologize

Ok... I stupidly fell for the nonsense and went to the Priority Meeting-to correct my account number. I guess after 2 years of DNG, I forgot the slime. Silly me. I was definitely removed from the DNG while at my stay at Myrtle Beach Tower on the Grove. So... here is what played out at the Williamsburg Priority Meeting.

1. We were greeted by Michael the Travel and Leisure Customer Care Representative. He assured me that he was not part of the Sales Department and works for T&L to assist Customers that have issues with their account. He stated that yes we "were removed form the DNG on Thursday" and that the sales department is filled with people who will say and do anything. He assured us he was there to fix the issue.

2. After numerous attempts to engage us in small talk... he was hoping to find a hook to engage us in providing information about family, careers or travel style, he decided to take the next step to try and instill fear.

3. He informed me that I was stupid and made a poor choice to have purchased CWA because it is a worthless product that was only created to be a money making scheme for Wyndham. He also told me not accept any offer of CWA points when Bentley Brook closes because CWA is garbage and I should wait for a cash offer. CWA was worthless and that in the next few years my $440 a month MF will be $5000 a month. He then asked was I comfortable paying that. I responded that whether you have a home, vacation home or just a car, the upkeep and maintenance is a cost that is built in to owning the item. I acknowledge the increases that will occur in the future and it is the nature of the beast. Do I like the increases...NO but do I enjoy the travel that CWA provides...YES.

4. He then tried the how about our children. Aren't you going to leave anything to your children. Honestly, it is non of his business what I plan to do. So, I sarcastically stated NO, I do not plan to leave them anything. When I die, if the children want the Wyndham that is their option, otherwise it is not their obligation to take over it. He told me, I was ignorant of the estate laws and that he works in the estates and trust department of T&L and that it was no true. He stated that when I signed my contract that I have now forced my children and grandchildren to pay the obligated maintenance fees forever. He asked did I know what the word "in perpetuity" meant. I stated forever. And he responded that means forever for my family. I disagreed and stated forever in my life and that in estates you cannot will a debt to my heirs. He again told me I was ignorant and wanted to make a bet that I was unaware of the law.

5. By this point my blood was boiling and he sensed it. He turned to my husband asked his age...63 and then used the sleazy line, " Wow, you are a lucky man to have married such a intelligent woman who is- What 40 years old" I told him where to stick that line and that I have earned all those gray hairs and wrinkles by dealing with BS like this for 60 years. I told him to move on.

6. Well now back to the terror tactics. Next move he told me that to correct my account that I received an email with a link that I didn't complete. He then stated that I also refused the meeting on New Years Eve to fix the problem. I call BS on this because I was on a DNG list and was never invited to a meeting.

7. Now comes the sales pitch. He states that that I was supposed to be offer a trade by T&L to change my CWA point, that are garbage to National Harbor with the purchase of 126,000 points for the sum total of $51,000. At this point I was enraged, he walked away to do what... I don't know. We stood up to leave and were chased down by the Care Manager, Roy to apologize for Michael's approach but that what he was stating was true. I started to raise my voice and my language became colorful. He then quickly escorted us out.

8. Today I called Owner Resolution was informed that since the sales manager had removed me that I cannot request to be returned to DNG only Corporate and do that. I asked for the email or phone number to reach corporate. I was told there is no email or phone number available and that the meetings are OPTIONAL and that I DON'T have to attend. LOL.

Does anyone have an email or phone number for Corporate, could you please share it? If not I will be the most obnoxious owner those sales people will encounter.

I wonder if selling TUG shirts and showing the other victims at the salescenter that you can get timeshare contracts for free will get you on the list.
I will be purchasing 2 shirts and will we will wear it at check in and any encounter with the Concierge/Sales team.

Just say NO! That's it. Just a firm, simple NO! In this case, the fact that you made your reservation and checked into the resort was proof there was nothing wrong with your contract. Otherwise, they wouldn't have allowed you to make the reservation and check in. Just say NO!

Ditto for me! Life is great!

I requested to be put on the list 4-5 years ago after having to loudly demand my credit card back after ithe sales associate got up and started leaving the room with it. I haven’t been asked to attend another meeting since then. So, I think there’s a list.
I just tell them that my husband is not with me.

They can (and will, at many locations) ask an owner who’s traveling without their spouse. They will not meet with you alone if you’re traveling together, though.

Interesting - we almost always travel together, so I have limited experience in this area, but I'll be heading down to Wyndham NH next week with some buddies that are attending a conference at the Gaylord National Convention Center, so I'll be solo for that check-in, so I'll be curious to see how this goes. Curious, if both parties were on the original contracts/accounts, meaning signatures from both spouses were required originally, how is it that only one spouse can attend a sales update? Doesn't any net new contract require both spouses to sign?

You can buy a new contract in your name only and it will be added to the same account. I assume you couldn't do anything like an equity trade that changes the existing ownership.

I remember a story a while back on Facebook from an owner whose wife traveled alone and bought a new contract. Then the next time they traveled together they were talked into buying yet another contract to "fix" whatever was "wrong" with the contract the wife bought. The only winners there were the two salespeople.
