I think you need to have a certain number of posts to be allowed to send private messages. It isn't just against you, only to reduce spam. Keep posting and you'll 'graduate' to 'Guest' even if you don't find TUG valuable enough to spend $15 to become a Member.

I can't answer that question, it's always been insignificant but I'm sure they/HI have some minimums and they have no idea what you paid.

TAT is supposed to be calculated as 10.5% tax on 1/2 the maintenance fees.
