Getting so many calls and recordings lately. Have you ever had a representative find you something that you were looking for on these calls? How often do you answer the calls?

I have received calls for Marriott exact match when the unit available is a larger size than the unit I gave up, so they're calling to verify that I'll pay the upsize fee.

I wonder why they will call if you already agreed to an up size when setting up the search. Unless you didn't include a bigger size unit.

Even though the upsize is authorized, they call.
Interesting 🤔. I guess I will answer their calls now. If I included a bigger unit and agreed to the extra charge, I expect them to proceed without calling.

What if I don't answer? Will they drop it? Will they email me?

That makes sense, they’re probably trying to confirm the upgrade since it's outside the original parameters. I’ve always wondered how flexible they are with those types of matches. Have you ever declined the upsized unit, and if so, did they offer anything else or just move on?

When setting up the OGS, you select the number of rooms you will accept and they will tell you that any room size greater than your deposit will cost and up size fee. You agree and include a card to bill if that happens. I believe at that point your request parameters include any size you selected. I have 1 to 4 bedrooms for my search using a 2 bedroom.
