Well it looks Like the first three 6 bedroom residences are finished and will be coming online later this summer. The private golf cart perk is pretty cool. I’m scared to see what the point chart on these bad boys is going to be.

dang, thats nice! am here at river island this week myself and the wife/kids were wondering why there werent more golf carts running around or if we could rent one etc.

curious where they are on the property, id like to go take a peek while im here.

I have no idea where they are at, but I am sure they would be happy to give you a tour!! If you buy something tell them I referred you so I can get some free points.

cmon now, what sort of example would I be setting if I fell for a sales presentation and paid full retail =)

Actually I did some google mapping and they do show a Residences icon just south of river island. Maybe you can do some investigation down that road.

Awesome, I look forward to any intel you gather. Also I am interested to hear how orange lake stacks up with Harbor Lake as far as kid friendly family resort goes. We have obviously been to orange lake several times but im wondering if we should switch it up and try Harbor lake next go around. I feel it will be hard to beat that lazy river though.

loaded question for sure!

for me, as my kids are 5 and 7, id pick harbour lake to visit again (and will do so next summer, guaranteed). Thats not to say that river island is bad in any way shape or form, but there are a variety of things that put HL over it if i had to choose!

mostly the reason is that at river island, the pool area is a sprawling metropolis and im not yet comfortable just letting my kids wander off like that. vs harbour lake, it really didnt matter where they went across the entire pool area as you could keep them in sight with ease.

now with THAT said, once my kids are a bit older this will likely flip flop as id be happy to let my kids wander around and enjoy everything on their own (within the confines of the pool area) and i can see older kids (teens) being very bored at harbour lake.

activities at harbour lake also take the win. plenty to do at orange lake too, but its all spread out across all the villages.

id rate the rooms a tie, id have no problem staying in either...though a huge pet peeve at orange lake is the lack of a wall outlet anywhere near the dining nook area! not even one!

so in the end, its really down to what sort of family vacation you have in mind! young kids that you want to see, but not have to hover over all day long and have an unlimited supply of other young kids to play with all day? harbour lake is the answer. once they age out of that, i can absolutely see returning to orange lake for a summer vacation!

will say the arcade at the main village is pretty incredible! kids cant stop talking about it!

I would assume so. Unless they create a new level……. Force people to buy residence points :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, that occured to me as well. I decided not to post it lest I come off as too cynical. But being real here, probably having the cynical turned up to 11 is the right choice when considering what actions TS developers will take to try and boost sales with FOMO.

Found them! Literally across the street from river island. Was taking kids to main village and pulled in to take a quick peek. Certainly looks nice from the road! Whole back side is a screened in pool area.

Perhaps I can sneak inside one before I leave. Workers in and out of a few of them but I had kids with me at the time and didn't try.

was totally inconspicuous holding my phone out the window and taking photos too!

did get a contact at holiday inn late this afternoon, fingers crossed i can get some inside views tomorrow!

I know that they probably will be very expensive when it comes to points but honestly from what I have seen they look so stinkin nice it might be worth it sometime.

says itll sleep 20, might be far more reasonable to have 3 families (or something like a huge family reunion) there!

are correct though I doubt we see too many of these pop up as last calls/getaways =D

based on the lot/area, I get the impression they plan to add more of these following that hole on the golf course at least.

Well that's interesting. Got a reply back from hicv and they indicated the residences are fully occupied and they don't give tours of it at the current time.

Have to say not a single one of them looked occupied and the one with vehicles out front looked more like contractors working inside vs families on vacation but either way it doesn't appear I'll get to peek inside.

Perhaps some signature members will get to tour it on their future vacations or someone will do a video walkthru.

saw a post claiming 1.2 million points to reserve one of these for a week!!! wow!

I don’t doubt it. The four bedroom presidential penthouse at the Grand Residences in Mexico is 1,159,000 points in peak season
