what's the best deal they offer?

how does it compare to 32:1 from bHC?

concierge told me 125,000 pts was worth >$600.

apologies if this is old news...

If you nominally value HH points at $0.005/pt, 125,000 points would be worth $625.

For the maintenance fees for a Plt ST+ 8400pt deed (rounded to $1800), at 32:1 you’d get 262,400 HH pts, which would be ~ $0.0068/pt cost. So 125,000 HH pts would be costing you ~$857, so not worth it (to me). Better off buying the 100% bonus deals with a $0.005/pt cost.

For someone with a better MF/bHc point deed, it might make sense.

For me, it would pencil out to about $0.004 per Hilton Honors point. There are some SLH properties that it might make sense converting for, but I’d need a planned trip to one for it to make sense. To much risk of devaluation of the points to make them a great reserve currency though they would last longer than saved bHC points. I have made great use of AMEX FNCs at the SLH properties.

We have about 2MM HHonors, get two FNCs a year and don't stay at Hiltons much - only out of the country. FOr our use, the HGVC/bHC points are better used for timeshare stays.

Cheers.

i've never taken advantage of that $0.005 deal. it would make sense for us, if we get a trip to europe planned.

with our deeds @ $0.14 & $0.11 MF/pt and 16:1 conversion, cost is $0.009 & $0.007 per HH pt.

thx for the reply, it's all much more clear for me now :). i'll take the 125K pts. every time.
