Dining Reservations at DW

Good morning! My family and I are going to Disney World this Christmas. We have used the MyDisneyExperience app before and loved it. I know that dining reservations open 180 in advance of the date of visit, but I am wondering what time those reservations open up.

I have been watching the last few days and it seems at 11pm central (12am eastern) the system can no longer retrieve data for reservations. Does anyone know approximately what time it does come up?

Also, an interesting situation I just noticed this evening is that as of right now the app shows reservations for December 24 open (they would have become available at midnight, if the system could retrieve the data) but the website is only showing through December 22 as available. Any ideas why? Or is this just what happens as the system updates?

I appreciate the help!

Disney Dining reservations for the day come online at 6:00AM - the WDW DINE phone line opens at 7:00AM (both eastern time).

Be sure to go ahead and get what you want when it opens. I am going in December but I didn't even make an attempt to book anything. I'll use Touring Plans. But I am in a December Disney FB group and people are all complaining about the lack of dining reservations for the month.

If you miss something you can set up an alert:

It is fabulous. I have mine set to text and email, so when I hear a double phone noise I know that it is an alert.

Well, I was online this morning ready for the 6am reservation window to open....and BOG had absolutely no lunch or dining options for Dec. 27 (which opened today). I did snag a 10:25am breakfast spot, however, it appears breakfast is fairly standard fare and is much more expensive than lunch.

Am I missing something here?

There's a 9:25p showing for dinner right now on the 27th.
Lunch & dinner are much more popular but I'd expect to see some pop up as people firm up their plans.

No problem! Another trick to keep in mind while looking for lunch there is to check for multiple tables - sometimes you can find 2 tables for 2 when you can't find 1 table for 4 (for example) & you seat yourself at breakfast/lunch anyway so you will all still be together.

Probably the most popular place to eat these days at Disney. Set up an alert as per Bendadin. Probably your best solution. Crystal Palace is a decent backup plan especially if you have little ones.

Also, keep in mind that family groups will often make multiple reservations for the same time slot (using different profiles) and then cancel the ones they don't want shortly before the cancellation window closes. So don't give up hope!

Disney also always raises prices on dining around the holidays and other special events.

I did get good news today!! A table for 4 came available at lunch for BOG so I snagged it! Yay! So we are now set!
