Using one at Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. Stayed once before and got a great upgrade.

I’ve seen a handful of places with standard awards of 150K. I found this 130K in Spain.

This is why I ask for 120K for an owners update

Have an upcoming stay in Washington DC. Nightly rate at the WA was $1200 - used a certificate and then a bunch of points for an additional two nights.

Not expecting an upgraded room - but of course won’t turn one down if offered. :)

We regularly get upgraded there, particularly when Congress isn’t in session. Only once did we get a great upgrade to a 1 1/2 bedroom; usually just to a superior room. They’re all nice, even the standard ones, but the upgrades are welcome.

I did think they slipped a bit at Peacock Alley for breakfast—my eggs over medium were over done. The tribulations!!!

Hilton has officially lost several Playa-managed all-inclusive resorts, which are now exiting the Hilton system. These include Hilton La Romana and Hilton La Romana Adult Resort in the Dominican Republic, Hilton Rose Hall in Jamaica, and both Hilton Playa del Carmen Adult Resort and The Yucatan Playa del Carmen by Hilton in Mexico. Guests with points or discounted bookings at these properties should expect cancellations and are advised to make alternate arrangements.

Well I just got back from Inverlochy Castle. I got upgraded to the King Suite room, the largest of the only 17 rooms at the resort.

I will have to figure out a way to post a video.

Los Altos in Costa Rica is great. We booked a townhome here - nice location, beautiful room and resort, minibar stuff is free, including a bottle of sparkling wine. Have to remember to close the doors to the balconies do the monkeys don’t get in.

*Staying at WA Monarch Beach July 4th on FNC (before stay at SoCal HGVC on HGVC points): cash value $1870 = 170k HH points
Love HH FNCs.
TY!

Stayed at Oceana Santa Monica just off the famous beach on the highland in LA for new year eve. It’s a very unique hotel experience you have to experience once. The standard redemption hotel room is at least a 1-bed luxury suite. Other than FNC, the point redemption of 105k a night, is also well worth it. Valued at 1k+ rack rate. Highly recommend anyone who visits LA for Santa Monica beach.

Using two FNCs for a stay in Napa - one for us, one for family. It's 80K/night and about $500. Since we stay at Hiltons rarely, this constitutes a good use of the certificates for us. Our niece's 21st so some wine tasting will be in order.

Cheers.

There you go. And remember, somebody is always turning 21 somewhere. May/June awesome months to travel CA.
I have been to Hawaii almost 30x. I have never been to Hawaii in June. I went to Hawaii in July once, but it was not my idea.

Yup. We live here, so we know. It will be mid-August, also a good time to be coming here from south Florida, where they live :)

Hawaii in summer? Not gonna happen.

Cheers.

Love Hawaii anytime …

We flew on points and stayed on points for 10 nights and I still spent over $4k still scratching my head on that one. lol. Food and excursions for 4 was very steep.

Precious memories we make, so all worth it!
Would have been many fold that amount, if you had to pay cash for flights & hotel (esp as they were astronomical for HI post-covid for many years before moderating some)!

PS: Pls LMK when you see another NLL Aspire offer, so I can grab #2 for me. TY!

Will do, although last year was the first time I had ever seen one. Usually see the Surpass or no fee card with NLL.

Good luck. We booked Conrad DC in June. Concierge called me the week before requesting if I needed anything. I said, sure I would like to try the lounge so he offered me access for $120 (needed to use Surpass credits anyway). The day of arrival they called and upgraded us to the capital suite. I’ve had really decent luck with Hilton.

Awesome move. Wouldnt you have free access to the lounge as a Diamond elite?
