Walt Disney World raises their prices

This is a yearly thing, prices at Walt Disney World will always go up. These are prices for Annual Passes, discounts are always available. Essentially, a future guest must figure out how many days they need, and whether a multi-day or an annual pass is a better deal. A lot of WDW influencers get the AP because they go several times a month, so it works out for them. I get discounts on APs and other tickets, so I am usually the go-to for friends!

I saw on Disney Addicts FB page that the price of buffets and character meals just went up. We happen to be going today to Artist Pointe. Already it was overpriced.

An annual ritual. People complaining about increasing Disney prices and then 2 minutes later booking another trip.

We have another trip planned for January. After that trip is over, we are going to skip Disney for a while. We just renewed our AP's before this trip started. The grandkids don't appreciate it as much as they used to. Well, the twins are too little to appreciate it. The seven-year-old is a trooper and always has been.

How many consective years have Disney raised their prices? Is there no end ???????

We hadn't purchased any tickets at all for years. This year we planned three trips for F&W and F&G, so we bought Pixie Dust passes. A few days before the prices went up. Good timing for us.

No one is forced to go to Disney.
We got an AP once. We're only 2 hours away, so...
Went 6x in one year... Staying 5 days each time.
By the end, we were over it.

I was excited about the new Lightening Lane Premier Pass available only for deluxe guests they are piloting. But my kid just shared the cost of it for 11/19. Holy moly!
MK $379
Epcot $169
Studios $309
AK $129

For peak travel days, they state it can be as high as $449 per person. Oh yeah and don't forget to add the tax to the above. YIKES!

At those prices you might be better off just getting one of the VIP tours.

Depends on how many people in your party. I think the VIP tours start at $700/hour with a 7-hour minimum and go up from there, but you do get a guide and transportation between parks.

Yeah if you have 10 people that is a better deal than lightning lane.

Premier pass is 1 park per day no hopping once you tap into first ride - ( supposedly park can be changed before tap in BUT up charges will apply & no refunds for downgrade) any other parks that day would require a separate purchase for lightning lanes.

At least the VIP tours you can still do multiple parks…

IMO - this is definitely a plus for specific families- those short on time, those who are in the one and done category. I can’t see my family ever using it at WDW but definitely at DLR

They key being "start at". I suspect when the new Premier Pass is at peak prices, the price of tours will be more than $700 an hour. Is tipping your host also expected for VIP tours?

Not included but expected

VIP still worth it with 10 people IMO... especially with these new prices.

though admittedly, im sure when the vip guide approaches 1000+ an hour things it may make less sense, especially since you still have to buy park tickets.

I would never pay the premium prices. One day with these two stinkers, and you will understand why our days at Disney in October for two weeks were cut short. Sure, they look like little angels, but not really. They fight, they cannot sit still during character meals. If it wasn't one of them having a tantrum, it was the other:

Haha that was great. I feel your pain. :p

I suspect these will sell out immediately. Disney should have been offering something like this for years. They left countless millions on the table.

I don't hang out with anyone who would think this was worthy of the expense, even our son, dad of those two crazies. He could just picture paying that price at Magic Kingdom, arriving at opening, leaving before lunch.
