Spend at least $25 at any small business using your American Express credit card and get a $25 statement credit. Thru 12/31, must register. See here for details:

My husband and I went to a restaurant Saturday and split the bill. He has a regular AmEx and the credit posted the next day. I have a Citi/AmEx and the credit hasn't posted yet. Guess I'll wait a few more days before calling.

Enjoy! :)

Most, if not all the small businesses we frequent around here won't take AMEX cards. :(

Are you sure this isn't a scam? I checked the registration form and it requires you to provide your name, AM EX number and the security code. Why does it require the security code?

X2 - No way I'm dabbling in this one...

This offer is posted on every credit card/discount website on the net, including Flyertalk.

The AMEX forum on Flyertalk says it's Legit, and many people have already received the $25 Cr. The Flyertalk thread started Nov. 8th - if it was a scam, we'd know by now.

I registered 2 cards.

Looks legit to me.

If it were a scam, I don't think the OP would have received a statement credit.

I was skeptical at first, but in addition to what Pit described, if you take a look at the certificate of the page, it is signed by VeriSign and it lists American Express as its owner. The site is legit.

But I agree that asking for the security code is strange. Why would they need that for registering your card for this promotion?

Except on the American Express site. I seem to get every email offer AMEX send out, but not this one. Where are the actual terms and conditions posted? I haven't been able to find these, nor the indication that the offer has been extended. Must on register to get the official information?

Here is the official link - the first post contained a link to the website with this info. - https://enroll.amexnetwork.com/US/sbs/

Interesting - I had received an earlier version of this that was good only last Saturday, November 27th directly from AMEX, but not this one. I wonder too why I didn't get this one, but will sign up. Thanks!

I just registered for this today so I guess it is still active. I wasn't sure if restaurants qualified, but some here have reported getting a credit at non-chain restaurants, so I guess it will work.

Denise, I was including restaurants in my note. We haven't been able to use Amex cards at any of the restaurants around here, except maybe I-Hop, and I doubt if that's considered a small business. ;)

Everyone in my family has an Amex so I signed up multiple times. So far we've gotten 3 bonuses. Two were for local restaurants and another for something I bought online.

It's nice to get a little something back during all the holiday spending.

Thanks, my credit was just rewarded. I also just signed my wife up. We share an account, but have separate card numbers, so I'm not sure it will work, but I gave it a shot.

We're the same way - one account 2 card numbers. We have both used our cards at small businesses so we'll see what happens.

My son's card is on my account and we both got the credit. :)

Thanks everyone for the 411 . . . I just signed up our two cards (which report to the same account). It would be nice to get the rebate twice, but I'll be happy with it once :)

Hmmm

Won't take my security code, says it is not valid. Oh well...
