Just finished the tour, got 150 Marriott dollars or could have gotten 15K Marriott reward points.

Prices quoted for 2 br Gold season in Surf club

2br yearly with lockoff (run in Spring/Summer months) $25,900 mf $1008
1br yearly $18,500
2br EOY with lockoff $17,500

Incentatives for purchasing today was "free" 7 days Europe with 2 free airfare... I believe that was more Marriott Rewards Points.

He said ownership is forever, not limited deed or Right to use?

The prices to us didn't seem too bad, we were surprised actually since when we toured the property in Myrtle Beach the price was about 5-10K more for Gold

Compare with Divi...the other large Aruba resort

-I liked that the Marriott wasn't a 40 yr lease
-I liked the amenities and location of the Marriott compared to the other Divi's (with the acception of the newer Divi)
-I liked the Divi's unit layout a lot better, as they units were larger, more plush and they offered the upper deck feature with the 6 person hot tub and barbeque with wet bar.
-I liked the Divi's priority system (with all other Divi's that are spread all over the Carribean) and RCI points system flexibility
-I liked the Divi's lower maintenance fees and the fact that they offer DAILY maid service included with mf's which were lower priced than Marriott.
-I liked the golf course at Divi and the owners discount for golf by being a divi owner.
-I liked that divi offered more locations than Marriott on Aruba, on either side of the Island.

So I would say if I were to purchase (which I don't plan on purchasing another TS ever) I would chose the Divi.
