How can I find out how much time I have left on my membership?

There may be another way but if you log into the TUG Marketplace it will bring you to your dashboard. At the bottom of the dashboard is the expiration date.

I am assuming if I renew now, it will start when my current membership expires June 2026? There seems to be a 'sale' on at the moment and I doubt it will get much better than this one so I thought I would get this out of the way without having my membership lapse. Seem like a good idea?

BBS registrations don't expire.

yes, your existing membership will be extended from current expiration date. many members have used the recent discount to extend out into the 2030s!

2030s aren't really that far away either. I bought the 3 year package earlier this year when my memberhsip expired. The when he announced the sale I added another 3 years at the discount.
