The waterline has sprung multiple leaks. No water is being pumped into the lines. All lodging is closing as of Dec 6. The lodging websites say this is only Dec 6-8, but the National Park alert does not provide an end date. They only state that an upgrade to the waterline is expected to be finished in 2027.

My impression from reading elsewhere is that this is connected (at least partially) to the fire on the North Rim.
