We have owned at Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort since 1994. Always traded through Interval International and been happy. Now that Capital has bought VRI, we are concerned that we will have to use RCI and maintenace fees will increase. Any suggestions as what we should do? Sell or keep...:cheer::oops:

Don't kid yourself -- maintenance fees will be going up there, and everywhere else. Why? Inflation alone will force fees up no matter where you own.

I would not sell UNLESS they actually won't let you use Interval International as your main source of trading. Until such time? Business as usual.

Now, go back to more important things in life like will Social Security still exist in 2034..........?

Keep your existing deed / Don't go to owner updates.

Our TS was bought by CV a few years ago. We can still trade w/ II, but they make it more difficult. CV also owns Trading Places, so they will be your primary trading company soon, if not already.

Great advise to stay away from owner updates w/ CV!

Agree with above
Several resorts I own were managed by VRI
I know that most (and probably all) are independent and in good shape financially
Just a hand full of association owned weeks
If the association had a large amounts of defaults and association owned weeks I would have some concern
As it is I have just suggested to the Board that they start to look for another management company
