My wife and I own an Estate week at Vidanta in Playa del Carmen. We have been approached by Your Premier Properties in New York who allege they want to rent some of the weeks we have. They suggest we have 10 weeks for 100 years. I need to look u[p our ownership, but I think we have fewer weeks than that. I think we actually have one week in the Estate, which is not built yet, but more weeks if we choose a lesser unit. The company is suggesting they would be renting on the back end of the 100 years. Of course, if that is true all their staff and my wife and I would be long gone.

Has anyone heard of these folks or know anything about them?

Thanks.
Ken

Scam.
It is a common scam that a cold caller will contact owners of Mexico timeshares with the "we will rent your unused weeks" ploy. The entire ploy hinges on the fact that they will require an upfront fee. Why would they require a fee to rent out your weeks? As soon as you wire the money to them, they disappear.

It doesn't matter what the name of the outfit is - they change names constantly - what identifies the scam is
1. cold call
2. Mexico timeshare
3. Rent out your unused weeks (or your "Getaways" if II or RCI is referenced)
4. Requires upfront fee

@KAS33, as @HudsHut says, this is a very common scam with all of the Vidanta resorts. You will see a lot more about it in the Mexican Timesharing forum.

As far as the Estates contract you own goes, those are sold as 1 or 2 registered weeks every other year plus 1 or 2 alternate-year weeks in the off years, good for the first 10 years. They come with a renewable 10-year certificate that allows you the use to either 2 or 4 additional weeks with a shorter reservation window that can be renewed up to the 100-year point. If you're interested in a group of Estates owners that share information in a closed forum, contact @jssquared who has set one up in Slack. You can also find information on Grand Luxxe and the Estates you can try Aimfair (at aimfair.com). Anyone their would also confirm that this contact is a scam - you can rent out weeks, but there's a lot of work involved in doing so.
