I joined houseseats.ca for a 2 month trial offer from one of the many deal websites that I subscribe to. This is in Toronto. For a membership fee of about $50 for the year, one gets emails about offers for last minute tickets (1 day to a week ahead) to plays and other cultural events but mostly plays. The plays are usually not the big ticket plays but are pretty good offerings. The membership allows you to get 2 tickets for the play offered and you do not have to pay anything. Membership covers the cost. However, the person with the membership has to attend the performance (and show ID) and if the tickets is not picked up, there is a penalty fee charged.

I noticed that houseseats is expanding and have locations in Arizona, Reno, Las Vegas and Texas at houseseats.com

I thought that I would put this out to my friends down south.

How far in advance are the tickets offered?

Are the tickets offered on the day of the performance only?

If you read my original post you will see the answer but I will respond because, as my children tell me constantly, I like to repeat myself!

They offer seats for performances from 1 to 7 days ahead of time. I am not an expert. I just did my trial membership for 2 month starting last month but already saw an excellent play and would have gone to a few others but I only have so much free time.

I got seats a couple of years ago from a fellow Tugger to a play in downtown Philadelphia. I enjoyed myself as did my friends. Hope this expands to here.
