Going to Big Sky Mo. Sunday, any tips on things to do, places to see ? Flying into Bozeman, anything special to see there? Husband likes to fish, I like most anything. Any good places to eat?
I am going to go there on the 24th. While I have never been there before, you are 60 miles from Yellowstone. I assume that is your incentive. I also enjoy white water rafting. From all reports I have read it is very nice.
Sometimes people will return to an area or state and there is alot to do around Yellowstone. If you dont know when or if you will make it back to Montana and you have a day or two you can spare, it would be nice to go Flathead Lake, Glacier and Over the Sun Road.
We did the same route last year. We did not spend much time at Bozeman but loaded the groceries at the Super Walmart there. It is a lot more expensive at Big Sky. We also booked one night of cabins inside the Yellowstone and another one inside the Teton park to avoid backtrack. We spent one day at the Big sky hiking some local parks, took the ski lift up the mountain. It is a beautiful area.

A loop that we did in two weeks from Bozeman, many years ago:
South to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons for several days.
SW to Idaho's Craters of the Moon NM, Sun Valley and Sawtooth NRA.
North from there for rafting on the Salmon, to Flathead Lake and Glacier NP.
East across Going to the Sun Hwy, then into Waterton Lakes NP, Alberta.
I was in Yellowstone in May this year. The Grand Tetons are a must to see. If you can make it to Jackson Hole it's great also. We spent alot of time driving but it was well worth it.
