Hi all!

Hubby loves his XM Radio (especially on our long travel drives) but I don't particularly like the monthly cost. His subscription is coming up for renewal next month but he is not a 'shopper'.

Anyone here aware of any deals out there for XM Radio subscriptions? He usually renews in 1-year increments but would be willing to look at other term lengths in order to get a good deal and save some money!

Call XM direct at 800-347-0600 and give them the coupon code ZWINBACK and you can get a year subscription for $77. You will also need your radio code which I believe is on channel 1. A free 3 month XM trial came with my new car and I really love it. After it expired I called with this code I found @ retailmenot.com and it worked great!

The government is very close to approving Sirius' purchase of XM. You might want to reconsider which company to purchase.

Looks like a done deal as of Friday night. Approved by FCC on a 2-3 vote. They said consumers wouldn't have to buy new equipment to receive both services, but to get a lower-cost ala-carte pay-per-channel deal, they would. Oh boy, maybe I can get one that doesn't have Howierd Stern!

I wasn't able to find anything on when the co-broadcasting might start.

Doubtful, since he's the reason that satellite radio is beginning to flourish. But...Sirius does allow subscribers to block certain channels they may not wish to hear (Howard, Playboy) although the simple solution, is to just not dial in that channel.

Hooray!

Just wanted to thank you for posting the Zwinback code because my account expired earlier than I thought and noticed $142.45 on my credit card. They are going to credit the difference. Yearly fee with the code is $77 from retailmenot.com.

Almost half the price! Hooray.....

I have two XM radios, and recently renewed both accounts. I remembered this thread, and was able to get the $77 rate on the second radio, but they insisted I could only get $84 rate for the primary radio. Still a very good deal. And it's only good for one year. We'll see what they offer me next Fall when both accounts come up for renewal again...
