I recently bought at the Royal Vista from which I understand is Associated with II.

So there for I will not be able to exchange with RCI.

I really like the ability to exchange with both. I am now looking at purchasing another resort with Wyndham so I can trade with RCI

I have the following questions:

1. Is my scenario Correct?
2. Can I buy a small point value with RCI trade ability then just transfer points back and forth.. I currently have 310k
3. Should I buy an Bi-annual to save on the maintenance fees since I can transfer from my Other Account.
4. Would I have to setup two separate Wyndham Accounts or can they combine in to one large that trade with both companies.

Thanks
KT

If your first purchase with Wyndham is affiliated with II, I believe all your other purchases will be also.

I was reading that maybe I should title the next one in both my wife's name and mine and this would make a new account.

Are there people out there that use both RCI and II or does everyone just typically use just one.

Yes you could purchase an additional property in RCI and deed it in someone else name, like your wife, but you will not be able to directly move points between the two account without doing a transfer, for which there is a transaction fee, as they will have to be consider seperate accounts. This is the type of transaction that can only be done over the phone, so if you do not have any remaining transactions that are included in your membership, you will have to pay the $59 fee.

You may also only transfer Regular points not canceled points.

It might be cheaper to borrow points from future years instead of transfering points between accounts.

There are a few owners on the Wyndham boards that have done exactly what you are asking, I am not sure how they manage their point usage.

II resorts are the "more" unusual in Wyndham. But Wyndham will most likely default you into RCI.

If you want II (as Royal Vista points) insistant on that when you get your member number. Other here have posted that Wyndham will have to redo the exchange company to get your II membership ...

I have two WYN accounts one II and one RCI. I have transferred points between accounts usually making a large point transfer like 300K to avoid the nuance fees. One big note I wanted an II account for Disney trades mostly and now they have moved to RCI.

What I did to get two accounts was to title one account with my wife's name first and the other with mine. You will usually have to walk titling through the process as they want to combine your contracts under one account.

I enjoy the flexibility of having the option to go to all resorts that WYN can pull. I have used both RCI and II and enjoy them both. I will have to transfer points into my RCI account now to try and snag those Disney resorts.

Before purchasing to get a second account to have both II and RCI accounts find out if the recently announced Wyndham elimination of transfers between accounts will apply.
