Do you have a recommended room or building request? My sister is going in a couple weeks and I’m getting this message when booking. She will have a two bedroom.

Nothing special, Wyndham Governor's Green, Unit 1832. Don't think we've stayed in this building before.

… did you have any reservations in that building previously that you cancelled?

🤣 No, but considering the number of times we've visited Governor's Green, I have probably cancelled a reservation or five.

I've stayed in buildings 20 and 22 multiple times. I love those two because they are seemingly the quietest, and that greenspace between you and buildings 23 and 25 sometimes you can see animals. Especially from building 22 if you have an end unit. The only negative is it's kind of a hike to the pools. I always request buildings 20, 22, 25 or 26, but the last time I was there I got building 15.

Unless I cancel, i'm going to somewhere in Williamsburg 10/24-11/1. Probably will end up at Kingsgate, but if I get an upgrade at GG, i'm going there.

Are you able to get ground floor units at Kingsgate? I'm not up to schlepping luggage, cooler, cases of water, etc., up to the third floor. Don't like the "amenities" fee, either. And, love the staff at GG.

GG is not a luxury resort. It's comfortable and serviceable but doesn't do well compared to a lot of Wyndham resorts, let alone any HGVC resort we've stayed in. For us, the main attraction is staff and proximity, plus Wmsburg is a pleasant town.

We came down Saturday but discovered when we arrived that we had left a bag at home, plus my wife forgot her phone. So, we left this AM at 7:45, went home, got the things, picked some more figs from the tree, stopped at Sam's in Woodbridge for gas on the way south and were back at GG at 1:15 PM.

Crappy pics through a screen but we are in room 474 at Wyndham Long Wharf in Newport RI for the next few days. Nice 4th floor view of the harbor this time around - nice bonus. Dinner was planned at Benjamin’s however they were unexpectedly closed late afternoon so we tried the Red Parrot for the first time and we will be returning to this dining establishment for sure. Sat at a corner table for two looking right out on the street so we enjoyed some people watching as the sunset played out. Colder than I thought it would be this time of year - I was an icicle by the time we made it back to our room LOL.

Well, at least it's a nice hot tub with a view that you can use to warm up. But I hear that a storm is headed to the northeast this weekend, yes? I hope it stays sunny for y'all.

Yes a major nor’easter is bearing down on this area. So we will be indoors for the next few days for sure. Did the hot tub tonight and met a nice VIPF couple, spent at least an hour comparing notes on Wyndham, local things to do and places to eat, and other travel experiences. Always nice to meet new people. She posts here on TUG as well on occasion, and on the FB groups. Don’t recall her handle here on TUG.
