When I first bought in to Wyndham I saw somewhere a great thread or article or something about how to get the best bang for your buck trading with RCI and Wyndham. Now that I have some basics down on Wyndham I can't find it anywhere. Did I dream this thread? Can someone point me to where it is if I didn't dream it!?!?!?

You are not dreaming

There is a Wyndham Owners group out there with tons of information. I don't have the address in front of me but someone will post it soon. It spun off from the old Fairfield group in Yahoo Groups.

To sum it up, you get trading preference with RCI back into Fairfield resorts. And some other areas where it is easy to trade you can often trade up easily. People have had good luck with 28k and 42k deposits and getting 2br weeks in red and white season.

What we do is keep a couple of RCI deposits searching where we want to go. If we don't have luck then we book directly through Wyndham. If later we get a trade we cancel the internal reservation and then deposit those points. It sort of rolls forward generating more and more RCI deposits.

Becareful of Wyndhams new cancelation periods where they keep your points. Just cancel your RCI searches once you get in that window.

Soon you will have more vacation then you can take!

When you join the Wyndham Forums Group, make sure you read the Worldwide Exchange document that is available there. It will give you the basics + on exchanging with Wyndham FSP points.
