Im am a new member. We wish to sell our Wyndham time share with two hundred thousand points Property deeded and paid in full. Is there any specifications as to property description when listing this for sale?

Sadly, Wyndham points are selling for pennies on the dollar, in this economy. (Go to ebay and search for Wyndham points.)

To be quite honest with you, you will be lucky to give it away.

Go the Marketplace in the red bar on the top of this screen. From there, you can read other Wyndham ads and that will give you a good idea of what to include in your ad.

Post in sightings and distressed. Where it is, unit size and m/f are most important.

If they do that, it will get deleted. Bargain basement if they just want to get rid of it would be the spot.

Hi Replies.
I must say the the answers that I have received are not too encouraging. That something that was purchased 13 years ago for 25,000 is practically worthless. Approaching 80 and find don't really travel much any more. If I were to purchase this same item from Wyndham, I don't believe I could purchase same without spending a heck of a lot more.

That is true but what Wyndham has also done is to purposely devalue resales and have successfully killed the marker to the point where what you would buy from them today for tens of thousands would literally be worth a few pennies at best once the rescind period expired. Thats just the way it is and the retail buyers are played as suckers by the sales weasels. Be thankful you bought when prices were lower, you got many yeas of (hopefully) enjoyable use and now if you can give it away and not owe anymore future fees you are out without a horrible loss.

The time is virtually worthless at resale now. Sorry.

This timeshare is like an old computer. Paid a lot and years later worth squat.

Sad, but true. I hope you enjoyed your years of use.

Thats not really true anymore for a lot of the resorts..if mf is around $5.5/1000 there is some value, Around $5/1000 there will be no trouble finding buyers, for more than a few dollars (not a lot more)

To answer your question (that the others have ignored)...any listing for sale ought to include, the resort: converted fixed week or udi: if fixed week, what week:; and maintenance fees. Also who pays closing costs and wyndhams $299 transfer fee...You can put an ad on TUG, or the deals section of the forum

If your mf is close to or over $6/1000 points Denise is right, you will have to sweeten the pot by paying closing, transfer fees and perhaps a years mf in advance

Timeshare is not a financial investment. Vacations are not financial investments either. Hopefully you were able to go on many vacations over time and the Timeshare program saved you money in that process.
