Wyndham Smoky Mountains

Suddenly, I am seeing a lot of Wyndham Smoky Mountains contracts for sale. Is there anything happening. There are 4 posted here just this month and at least 5 on ebay in the last two weeks. Any ideas why? I realize that with the downturn we are seeing more timeshares for sale, WSM seems to be an outlier.

I don't see a reason. If you do pick up a deed, make sure it's "Governor's Crossing II". The MF are lower there.

It might be just due to overall size. It's a large resort. I was there just this past summer; nothing stood out as problematic.

There was not a huge increase in MF as far as I can tell. that usually gets people to head for the hills. Depending on how long it took them to be put up for sale, people losing their jobs might have something to do with it.

If I read the MF thread correctly, they only had a 4.2% increase which isn't big when the maintenance fees are lower.
