I have reservations for my family of 16 for June 13, 2020. I received an email from Wyndham tonight that the resort will be open but the pools, restaurants, bars will not be open. The Wilderness Waterpark is open for their guests but not for day passes. I am thinking the waterpark is not including Wyndham guests as part of their guests. When I call Wyndham and the Wilderness water Park I seem to be getting confusing answers. Needless to say, I have adult kids that need to know if the water activities are open for the 8 grandkids, or for them it may not be worth the trip. Any tuggers have any concrete information about this?

If you are staying at Wyndham Great Smokies, the water park, if it is open, is included.
If you are staying at Wyndham Smoky Mountains, it is not included, Covid or no Covid.

Wyndham has contracts and pays a lot of money to Wilderness Territory resorts for Glacier Canyon and Great Smokies resorts for usages, so if the waterparks are open then they are open for Wyndham guests too.

I get emails from Wilderness Territory. They own and operate the waterparks not Wyndham. The email from them that I received on May 18 says they will be reopening on June 4th.

Thank you.....it does look like they would be available. Now, the second big question.....would you take your kids and grandkids as planned or is it toooooo risky? My husband and I are 65 and healthy. Kids 8 of them with ages ranging from 9 months to 8 years.

From what I read, the virus does not survive in pools, oceans and other bodies of water, etc. Keep the kids in the pools. Away from the pools keep them away from others.
