I worked for Wyndham Shawnee. I resigned in December for a lot of reasons. Main one being the way they pressured you to lie about benefits and inflated maintenance fee increases, called a 10-20-30. I have also witnessed pressure to upgrade for 3rd party rentals. If anyone has witnessed this or upgraded due to false statements contact me here I would love to help you.

Can you explain what is meant by the “10-20-30” and “upgrade for 3rd party rentals”, as well as how sales uses them in presentations?
I’m also curious what percentage of the sales staff personally own and use Wyndham points v. what percentage have zero personal knowledge of the product.

Welcome to TUG! We frequently stay at Wyndham Shawnee as it's only two hours from where we live - and have attended many an update at this resort. We'll be there the weekend after next and again in mid-April. Best guess, I've probably actually met you at an update, especially post pandemic after the sales staff slimmed down quite a bit. How long did you work for Wyndham?

The sales person would show you a form showing super inflated maintenance fee increases over 10-20-to 30 years. If you upgraded into a Deeded Teir 1 property it would not affect you. 3rd party brokerage was offering you rental in turn for a trade or upgrade.

@RENTER I don't know if you're still interested in pursuing action against Wyndham or if you purchased at Shawnee (I know you go there and rent there a lot, but I don't know where you were sold to), but @Cass1011 is apparently pursuing action due to sales lies (per a more detailed post on Facebook today). Maybe you've even met him.

Thank you. I do not know who that is. I will check to see what he has to say. I saw your message about resales and Margaritaville. I have had resales reservations honored for the one in Nashville that I am using for myself.
