I was at an update meeting this past weekend. In the discussion about my various contracts in my file, my latest purchase was a small CWA contract. The file showed it listed under our name as "retail" not "resale". I immediately went tight lipped on that ( while thinking "home run" on that one).

Anybody else experience this kind of slip up during contract transfer?

shhhhhhhhhhh

yes

but it really doesnt make any difference unless you have enough of these "retail" contracts to add up to VIP levels

How small? Does it even make a difference in your vip level? Could just be a sales ploy to get you to buy more.

The first purchase I ever made was one of these mistakes that made me silver. And I dont think sales had anything to do with it. The salesperson I showed it to said it was impossible, and that because my member number started with 00999... she knew I was mistaken...

How long ago did that contract transfer in? I have heard that sometimes the resale flag is flipped after a delay, sometimes as long as 6-12 months.

It was transferred in July. No biggie for me because, just a pleasant suprise that that the contract was marked retail

Yes, but wouldn't your member number also start with 00999 if you started with resale points, then later bought retail and a combination of PIC adding to the same account that allowed you to obtain VIP status?

Yes that can happen. It could be a sales tactic to get the op to buy more. They seem happy about this. But unless it gets them to VIP or to the next level it is not worth much without another retail purchase.

Yes but the saleswoman 999 couldn't be VIP

Just another example of a salesperson that doesnt know the product as well as I do
