You can't book something that isn't available through rci. They do have nightly stays if you have plus partners (bought at least one contract retail). If it is part of weeks inventory though you book the whole week or not at all. You don't have to stay the whole week but you pay the same either way and if you are skipping the front end you should call the resort to let them know when you will be arriving so they don't assume you are a no show.

I've got a question about Wyndham/RCI -- been looking and can't find.

Booked a week today that said I have 24 hours to cancel. Can I do that online? Called & phone message said closed at 8 pm eastern.

If it is more than 3 days out when you cancel (and within 24 hrs) you can cancel online. When you go to cancel it will tell you what you lose if anything (which the answer should be nothing if cancelled within 24 hrs) including the exchange fee and points.

I did cancel my RCI rezzie and the points were returned. I think the guest certificate was returned but. not sure about the exchange fee. Is there a spot on the RCI site where we can see the fees we have paid/ had refunded?

I've never been able to cancel RCI online via the Wyndham/RCI portal - I've always had to call. It may be possible to do through the regular weeks interface, but I don't think Wyndham points owners can do it.
