Wyndham RCI deposit

I have not deposited since Wyndham changed to the new system. I have 6500 points left in 2011, and 105,000 points for 2012. The minimal points deposit is 27,000. Can I make a reservation that allows me to borrow some points from 2012 and cancel the reservation then deposit the canceled points? Will I be able to combine these points with 2012 points to make reservation with RCI?

Hi Jane,

Yes, you could borrow and cancel, although I actually don't think it is necessary to do that anymore because I think that when you make a deposit, you designate the use year. You might be able to just indicate that you are depositing 6500 points from use year 2011 and 20500 points from use year 2012 when you make the deposit. If not, then just do reserve/cancel/deposit as you have done before.

To answer your other question, yes, once you deposit points into RCI, when you deposit other points later, they will basically co-mingle and you can use them together, athough they will still have their unique expiration dates they have to be used by.

I see what you mean, Sandy. I'm not sure about that either - I mean, I know that deposit totals have to be in 1K increments, just don't know whether you can get there by adding .5 and .5 If that is an issue, Jane, just do the book/cancel/deposit as you know. Just seeing if we could save you a step
