Has anyone been charged a "transient occupancy tax" staying at a Wyndham owner property as on owner not a guest? I have Club Wyndham Access and recently made a reservation at Wyndham Rancho Vistoso. I emailed them a question on the wifi and they responded and also let me know that Oro Valley they are in required them to charge a transient occupancy tax. It's only about $31 but still. They mentioned my ownership and that I get five free devices on wifi.
I have stayed at quite a few properties in AZ, CA, NV and never been charged a tax. Is this something normal at this property? I find it weird.
Edit: Nevermind I see it under the Helpful hints on Wyndham's website. They really need to call that out instead of being in the helpful hints.
