Great Thames St. location adjacent to Newport Harbor. Newport is one of the saltiest towns in the US. Tons of history going back to the Vikings. Tour mansions (summer "cottages") built by the Vanderbilts, Astors, and other captains of industry. This is what they did with their money before the federal income tax came along.

Great cold water seafood up and down Thames Street and just about every place has a pot of chowder on the stove in back.
