They pop up on eBay every once in a while. Any particular reason why you want home resort priority at Oceanside Pier? It doesn’t appear too hard to get in the Standard Reservation Window. Is there a recommended site to buy a wyndham oceanside deed. There are no listings on TUG
I looked at the listing and the points chart. Am I correct to read that it will get you 1BR during summer every other year, with monthly maintenance fee of $64.19? So, it will cost $1,540.56 per use? It seems very steep. If you want prime summer in Oceanside you’ll need the ARP. Also Oceanside has lower maintenance fees than most ocean resorts.
Someone got a great deal on that EBay listing. Hope it was a Tugger
Someone got a contract with maintenance fees (not including program fee) of $5.43 per 1,000 points, which is well below average in the Wyndham universe. (Note that the eBay listing includes the minimum program fee which jacks up the monthlycost to an owner who only owns that contract, but won't be an issue for someone who has other points that take them above the threshold.) Whether or not they then use it to actually stay at Oceanside (which has a fairly high points cost, but also a lovely location) is a separate question. I picked up an Oceanside contract for free on Timeshare Nation a couple of years ago and yet I haven't actually stayed there.I looked at the listing and the points chart. We go to Worldmark Oceanside every year or every other year for a month to get away from our hot summers. We have been eyeing the Wyndham property because it appears to be nicer than Worldmark's. I almost bid on this eBay listing but it would only get me a week which won't work. We don't want to have to move. If you don't mind teaching me, what is the best way to get 4 weeks stay in the summer at Wyndham Oceanside at the Pier? What’s the hard to get prime season? I had no problem booking a 2 bedroom oceanview the last week of June next year, within the standard reservation window. If you want prime summer in Oceanside you’ll need the ARP. Also Oceanside has lower maintenance fees than most ocean resorts.

Just looking at the current availability calendar, July looks spotty at 10 months (so it looks like it would require 13-month booking) while there's more availability in June, so it depends on when you want to go. The issue is less the maintenance fees specifically at Oceanside Pier (which are fairly attractive) but the fact that 4 weeks there in a 1BR will require 812,000 points. We go to Worldmark Oceanside every year or every other year for a month to get away from our hot summers. Can I also just pick up any Wyndham points? Is it difficult to use the points to book during summer season at Oceanside?
Yep. I have a 35K contract at Worldmark and it's pretty inexpensive to stay there for a month every other summer in July to August. We did Oceanside last year and this year we stayed for a month at Marina Dunes.Just looking at the current availability calendar, July looks spotty at 10 months (so it looks like it would require 13-month booking) while there's more availability in June, so it depends on when you want to go. We get away in July and August when it is at the hottest where we live. We can get June in Newport Coast if we want but we don't get away in June. What’s the hard to get prime season? I agree on the maintenance fees. This was a resort I bid on a year ago in an eBay auction because of that.
