Or maybe someone was doing their job properly.
Last Feb I fell for one of those Wyndham "pkgs", going on a 4day trip for $248.00, and could bring along another couple. Of course we all would have to agree togo to one of their "90" minute sales presentation.
Why I said yes I don't know. However, the next day I called to recind. I had to leave a msg and waited to hear back. Ater many calls nothing was done to credit my Discover card.
I tried going through Discover for the credit. They contacted Wyndham who sent them all sort of paperwork saying that I did not send back anything in writing in the 3 day window. I said what paperwork? Still no credit.
Over all these months I still got calls saying I hadn't booked my stay with them yet, told each rep my story, and that I had no intention of going. One person gave me some numbers to try to see if a higher up would start the credit. Due to too many things going on the past few months I just didn't get to it.
Last week I received yet another rep call. I told this person my story. She then passed me to a supervisor, who said she would make sure I got my money back. Well just opened my Discover bill and there was the credit!
I was a Wyndham owner down in Newport RI, and just was able to sell that.
Prior to getting that credit and dealing with Wyndham while in the process of selling my week, I vowed never to stay at a hotel or TS associated with them again. But I just may rethink that depending on going away in the future.
One thing I've vowed now is never to stay at a hotel for more than a weekend away. Will rent a TS for week long vacations.
