I think it’s more like there are still getting people who are just now figuring out their timeshare is closing. I know a lot of people just toss the Wyndham mailings in the trash thinking it’s just a newsletter or advertisement. It’s not until they see the bankruptcy letters that they realize something is happening. I think they want to keep owners who want to stay. It stinks to dump a ton of money into something just to have it taken away. I am not affected but I do appreciate they are keeping the door open as long as they have. I believe the window to swap ORIC is closed. I think there is one other but I’m drawing a blank on which one it is.
No doubt they have a lot of unsold inventory. I just don’t think that’s the only reason they would keep the door open. Besides, if they gave away all their unsold inventory, they would have nothing to sell.

This reminds me of something that I've been meaning to look at - the amount of CWA inventory held by Club Wyndham/T+L. I think the data in the 2026 financial report will be even more illuminating, but the change from 2024 to 2025 is already really interesting to me.
2024:
8,727,475,131 held by WVR out of total CWA points of 51,665,398,449
2025:
6,404,104,681 held by TNL* out of total CWA points of 51,717,450,949
What's interesting to me is that the denominator barely changed - which makes sense because the resorts hadn't closed and been pulled out of the system yet - and the numerator of points owned by Wyndham has already dropped significantly. This is probably very little to do with swaps, which as I recall had barely begun by the end of 2025, and my theory is it mainly has to do with the severe cutback on accepting CWA contracts through Certified Exit starting just about a year ago. And then of course, sales as usual - without much replenishment from Certified Exit. For those who haven't been paying attention, where CWA had been almost a slam dunk for acceptance by Certified Exit up until about a year ago, it suddenly dried up around the time we became aware of the resort closures and hasn't really come back. A small number of owners have had CWA accepted, usually after calling multiple times over weeks or months. UDI deeded points seem to be the most successful (on a case-by-case basis) with CE right now.
In any case, now I'm nerding out a bit about how these numbers are going to look next year when the 2026 PTVO report comes out.
* I note they changed the terminology about who the developer entity is. It's kind of funny that it remained "WVR" all the way through 2024.
