Wyndham is closing a handful of legacy resorts - dedicated chart/tracker located in the first post for this unfolding set of events

Public warning due to inappropriate behavior - further action will be taken if you fail to correct the inappropriate behavior.
BB HOA meeting was canceled due to a blackout. Will be rescheduled within two weeks
Perfect opportunity for [CONTENT REMOVED BY MODERATOR] to post various conspiracy theories based on "Wyndham did not have the votes":LOL::LOL::LOL:

Hello, does anyone have a phone number for Wyndham to ask them the process for accepting the swap for Wyndham access? All my points are Ocean Ridge and OIRC, and both have voted for bankruptcy. I haven't seen any email yet, but I am concerned that their email may go directly to junk mail, and I'll miss it.
Thank you.

I got this from something posted a while back from an OIRC owner:
For any questions about how this impacts your ownership ─ including maintenance fees, reservations, the Club Wyndham Access swap contract offer, or other membership-related items ─ you can reach a dedicated team within Club Wyndham at CWAInquiries@wyn.com, or call them at 877-883-3640.

They are closed on weekends.

We have a Star Island EOY converted fixed week (even year, so points are showing in our 2026 points online) at Star Island. We never received paperwork about the bankruptcy, so assuming we must own in one of the buildings that is not part of the sale. We've been thinking about selling / giving it away. Is there an increased desire for this since so many are losing their ownership at Star Island? Or are most GLAD to see it go?

I'm a single week interval owner in River Village II and got a letter with the proxy material and Special Meeting notice about 14 days before the Special Meeting (every time I type "Special Meeting" it makes me think of "special military operation" with all the baggage that brings with it). I've seen on here that Wyndham hopes to close Fairway and Ridge Top by 31 March (thanks to @HitchHiker71) so maybe back off that date a bit to completely guess that the special meeting for Fairway and RT should be end of January. So maybe you and the other owners will get notice around mid-January?
Very helpful. Thx

Does Wyndham have any way to contact you? Does the HOA? If you didn’t receive anything from the HOA I’d surmise they may not have sent anything yet to standard owners since no meeting has been scheduled yet. Just make sure you have proper contact information on file with the HOA. I’m assuming you are a part of the HOA correct?

Yes, I pay into the HOA and I'm part of it. We are on record with them so I don't know what else to do and they should have my info. They have no problem cashing my HOA payment....
I'm guessing with the delayed closing timeline (compared to other HOA's at Shawnee) that they just haven't gone out. I posted here just to see if anyone else in Fairway had received
Thanks for all the info u share. It is very helpful.

This line is staffed from 9am-7pm ET weekdays only. If you call outside of these hours you won’t receive assistance from this team obviously.

I found a Facebook group through this BBS, "Shawnee, Village People and Friends." Somebody posted a comment on there to the effect that the full interval owners in Fairway did not convert to timeshares. Does that mean Fairway predates the timeshare period? Just curious, but I do wonder how the "full interval" owners in Fairway and Ridge Top got to be that way.... and if they have to pay 52 intervals worth of maintenance fees (I certainly hope not).

It's not real clear what assistance one might receive at all.

I have a situation similar to @ThomasinaTimeTRP. The Wyndham email would have been sent to one of my wife's email accounts, one she has been having problems with. The person I spoke to acted like it was a daunting task to send an email to the new email address on our account (not the one with problems).

Perhaps there's an accountability issue in that Wyndham doesn't want extra offers out there.

Keep us posted. Now that I have an actual whole interval owner posting here on TUG I want to track this more closely. I am meeting biweekly with Wyndham and my next meeting is set for next Friday so I will bring this topic up explicitly, so thanks very much for joining and for posting. I will try to get a better sense of what you can expect next Friday.

We own at Wyndham Shearwater, we own two units, 400K points each. I cannot book anything in 2026 for Shearwater. What is the deal with that? There is no availability AT ALL from this date forward. Another resort being sold and shut down?

Awesome! Thanks again and if I get anything directly I will post here.

We see this complete blackout of inventory due to system issues from time to time. It’s not because the resort is part of these actions. It will correct itself within a few days typically.

This also is not following the same process we have now repeatedly witnessed for every impacted resort to date, without exception. If it were we wouldn’t see a complete black-out of inventory firstly, it would only be a black-out from 1/1/2026 forward, and only after the resort HOA proxy vote occurs to approve bankruptcy proceedings and resort closure for 2026. As an owner, you would have already received HOA communications were this resort to be a part of these actions. Did you receive any such comms? If not then you and all of the rest of us have our real world answer.

You will in all likelihood lose your 2026 points, so I might suggest you borrow from your future use year NOW, use them NOW so you won't lose them. You may have to pay a Housekeeping credit, but that beats losing points.

I don't know if it's related, but for the past couple of weeks, the website has been flaking out real hard, literally showing NO inventory for all resorts.

A workaround I found was to select individual suite types (1BR, 2BR, etc) and it magically shows inventory. If you choose the default of "all suite types" it shows nothing.

@hitchkiker71 Does Wyndham know about this? Someone put me on mandatory vacation for something someone found objectionable and I was going to post about this but couldn't...

In a not entirely unrelated development, our resort owner website seems to have gone away... domain has not been renewed. https://shawneeowners.com/ Now I first saw this Friday, who knows maybe it will be back up shortly.

The issue you’re referring to was shortlived and is not something I can reproduce when performing MAC availability searches using my hybrid developer points bucket with the All Suites selection - which was the original reported issue. We would be hearing about this constantly if it were still occurring, and we haven’t heard anything since 10/22 timeframe.

I also have no idea what you mean by mandatory vacation. I’ve literally been on PTO since 10/24 myself with minimal TUG activity until my return late yesterday.

I take it as mandatory vacation = temporary ban from posting.

Thank you for the phone number to get information about
I never received an email from OIRC or Ocean Ridge. I am having issues with the email on my account. I went into my account to change it, but still never received a change your password email.
I am going to call them on Monday, but does anyone know the answer to this question:
I have used all my points from my OIRC and Ocean Ridge to make two reservations at Seawatch Plantation for July 2026. If I want to accept the conversion to CWA, will my reservations stay intact, or are they going to be cancelled? They are for a family reunion, so I hope I can keep them. Anyone have a similar situation?

Regarding the inventory errors, it was happening to me for the last almost 2 weeks. It started while I was on vacation at Patriots Place the week of 10/18-26 and was still happening last night and Thursday when I was doing searches. It was also every resort, not just one, or a handful. EVERY. I will try again later to see if it's still happening.

Regarding my "vacation", I didn't get any sort of explanation in a DM like I typically would, but I think it was a Worldmark moderator, who is also consequently a renter, that didn't like me pointing out that they were a greedy opportunist and harmful to other owners by manipulating waitlists and renting out prime bookings for their own profit. Which they have admitted to.

On Worldmark they can hide behind the "it's allowed by the bylaws" excuse. But I digress.
