They are both right off U.S. Rt. 192, but on opposite ends of the Disney Gap.

Cypress Palms is right behind Cracker Barrel, across Rt. 192 from the Big Orange souvenir stand. It is a purpose-built resort, part of the Wyndham chain, & very nice. It suffers somewhat from being outshadowed by Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort, which is lots larger & is hemmed in by the surrounding Disney World property. But Cypress Palms is a high-quality timeshare in its own right, & in a convenient location.

Magic Tree Resort, just off Rt. 192 down Old Lake Wilson Road, is next door to a humongous Walmart & right across the street from WestGate Resort. Magic Tree is a converted motel -- but an extremely successful conversion. When we're there, we're enjoying a nice timeshare condo that feels nothing like Motel 6 or Super 8. The units are compact but comfortable. Everything is kept shipshape & the place is always improving.

We like'm both (specially Cypress Palms) & will gladly go back whenever we get a chance.

Haven’t been to Cypress Palms but stayed a week in a 1 BR at Magic Tree once. Being an older building, the ceilings are low, but as Alan says it was a well thought out conversion of a motel. It was comfortable enough, and the location wasn’t bad. Our primary reason for not being likely to return is that the 1 BR units don’t have in-room laundry. DH had to haul everything up to 2nd floor and had a choice of uncomfortable seating in the laundry room or running back and forth to check on progress. (We don’t like to leave our laundry unattended.)

BTW our current favorite is Silver Lake. Literally around the corner from AK, and the 1 BR that sleeps 6 is huge - with in-room laundry, of course.
