Mostly usable the same way. The exception is thatyou can't use pooled points for ARP reservations. You can use them for anything 10 months out or less. Can't be done onoine though. You will have to call. Note that there is a forum here that is specific to Wyndham. If you have other Wyndham questions, post them there.

You can use these points for any reservations except ARP and RCI deposits. You can reserve online or call. Online is cheaper. Plus they last for 3 years from conversion, where regular point expire in 1 year.

unless you are Gold or Platinum VIP you have to credit pool your points before your use year begins

the Wyndham directory explains the credit pool as something you might want to use if you know you wont be able to use all of you points next year (ie for example take your 2013 points and extend their use into 2015...another use is to borrow future years points for use today...Ive already pooled my 2014 points (and I have used them)

You can "trick" the system into allowing credit pooled points to be deposited to RCI by making a reservation with your pooled points and cancelling it. Cancelled points can be deposited to RCI
