Does anyone have first hand knowledge about the circumstances behind Wyndham no longer having their resort in Downtown Chicago?
I have heard, through rumor, that Wyndham got an offer from another developer that they couldn't refuse. If so, how did Wyndham reconcile with the voi at the resort? Did they buy out all of the voi's?

My understanding was Wyndham didn't own the building. They had a long term lease with the owners. The owners decided to sell and cancelled Wyndham's lease. I don't think they actually sell points at the resorts that they have leases in.

I was aware that Wyndham occupied and operated a portion of the building (my wife and I stayed there a couple of times) and the remainder of the building operated as hotel (I think as a Wyndham). I assumed Wyndham had a long term lease because it was apparent that they upgraded the units they had control of.

My wife who follows the Club Wyndham Timeshare owners Facebook page says she saw where voi owners were talking about their deed being at Chicago. Thus, my asking for first hand knowledge, prehaps from someone who had a voi at Chicago Wyndham.

No one was deeded at the Chicago resort because the Wyndham units were leased. The company that owns the resort/hotel decided to terminate their business relationship with Wyndham. Both as managers for the property and their lease on the units.
