Does anyone know why Wyndham Beaver Creek has changed the name to Wyndham Avon and why they are not showing any availability?

I can't answer the naming convention question but it was always designated as a "Presidential Reserve" only resort. It was just when first opening that they opened the resort for regular reservations.
Not sure, but maybe it has to do with the fact is is located in Avon, and not Beaver Creek. The only connection it has with Beaver Creek is there is a gondola close that takes you to the Beaver Creek area.
I certainly thought it was misleading, a sleight of hand marketing effort. I will bet the Beaver Creek people were not amused and threatened legal action or a hefty payoff to use the name.
