I just purchased ownership in this resort off of ebay; is there any concerns with the ability to use a floating week now that Wyndham is involved? Any insight into the property would be appreciated.

I own at one of the other Pahio resorts and have no problem at all reserving exactly the week and unit I want. However, you need to do it 12 mos. out. There are some reviews for this resort in the TUG Reviews that you might want to check out. (Click on TUG Resort Database in the red bar at the top of the page.) I think that most Pahio owners did not choose to convert to Wyndham points, and so the Pahio resorts are not as involved in the Wyndham system, as resorts that started out in Wyndham points.

reserving resort

If my ownership is even years; 2010; what would your advice be for a reservation is I would like Feb 2010. Do I call to pay the fees in advance so I can reserve? Not sure how I would do it. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, if you own at the resort and not in Wydham you can call 13 months out and be put on a list. At 12 months out they'll actually book it for you. I don't think you'll have to worry too much about calling 13 months out, but that's an option. You don't need to pay the maintenance fee until the beginning of the year that it's due. In fact, I'm still waiting for my maintenance fee bill for 2009. BTW---I own at Pahio KBV, but I believe all the Pahios have similar rules. I'm not sure how it works if you're in Wyndham.

Aloha from Kauai,
Submit your request for Feb 2010 now (I recommend via email).
Prior to Wyndham taking over, you would expect to receive your MF bill late Nov 09. They have been late for 2008 and 2009 MF bills. We are at KBV now and still haven't receive the MF bill. (I have news, but may take a few days to getting around to posting it.)

News! Give us a hint!! Are they starting on the pool? Is it about KBV or Wyndham in general? We're heading to KBV next month so I'm really curious about what you have to tell us!
