Does anyone know why there is NOT a single date for all of Nov at Austin. Are they closing down the resort to deal with additional repair items.

It is odd that there is NOTHING available. I have not yet called, but I will if no one posts here.

I noticed that a few weeks ago. We had a reservation there for Veterans Day weekend and wound up canceling, then noticed that it looks like the whole place is shut down.

Isn't the WorldMark Austin in the same building? There is all kinds of availability in November on the WorldMark side.

It is, but the WorldMark units are in a different part of the building and may not have been effected by the plumbing issue they had there.

Worldmark shows lots of availability, but none of it is actually bookable. We have tried.

Sounds like it's time to make a phone call to ask what's going on. ?

Near term -- September and first half of October -- this is true, and an attempted reservation will result in this

"Reservation Error

Your reservation was unable to be completed for the following reason(s):
This room type is currently off-line. Please choose another room type or try your search"
Beginning with October 17, 2021, the WorldMark availability that is showing IS bookable. Any WM owner can confirm this, and book it if it something they want.

eta: WorldMark owns only about 10% of the Wyndham Austin units and located on only two floors, I think. It may be that all the WorldMark units are returned to service before all the Club Wyndham units can be returned, and the lack of Club Wyndham availability through November is a "safety" to accommodate Club Wyndham owners with existing reservations in units affected by the water damage.

Bonnet Creek has absolutely nothing available until Nov 27th, as well. They'll tell you tower 6 is under renovation and also how unusually busy they are. I still cry foul - they've taken away all availability.

I saw this happen when I was watching Ocean Walk closely this summer before our family reunion (was able to book a few of our rooms at a discount when some rooms came available and cancel the full point ones booked earlier). The most current 2-3 week span would have rooms here and there, then the whole time frame would be unavailable for several days, then I'd see the rooms come available again. My best guess is if they get nervous about being overbooked or something, they in essence shut down any booking opportunities til they get comfortable things are okay.

I'm guessing something like that is going on right now at Bonnet Creek (we saw this several years back when they had a water main break - but they say no problem at the moment). Maybe something similar in Austin?

Unless someone has some insight to what's really going on, we'll never know and they'll just say how busy things are (and many of them believe it, I think).

We were scheduled to stay in Austin at the end of July. Wyndham called us and offered to refund our points and suggested that we find a hotel. The resort was undergoing renovation and a pipe burst and flooded a lot of the rooms. The contractor is staying on property and they were taking rooms offline becuae more than 50% were damaged . We are scheduled to go again in late October. I called the resort directly in August to see how repairs were going,. They were getting complaints from guests about construction noise and had very little inventory. They were concerned that construction was being delayed due to supply chain issues. It did not sound very good and they wold not comment regarding my October reservation.

I called again today 9/25 to get a update because we needed to decide if we were going to stick with wyndham for our October trip or switch to a hotel. They said they have doors in the halls to seperate the construction side from the non construction side to minimize dirt and noise, and that they limit loud contrcution to the middle of the day and did painting etc in mornings. She said as long as were were wyndham owners booking with points that we should be OK getting a room but that if we were booked via RCI or some other platform that we probably would get our reservation cancelled .

Just checking in on this item to see if we're still seeing blocks of inventory unavailable. I'm happy to follow up with our contacts if we can give some specific examples of what we're seeing - just list them out in bullet points if possible and I'll submit what we're seeing to our Wyndham contacts.

Uhm - sorry no bullet points. But I just checked, and from the point of view or our account:
(1) Still nothing bookable at Bonnet Creek till 11/27 (but maybe this is just true)
(2) Austin seems to have lots of bookable rooms - like 10/25-29 shows 8 room types.

As I posted in the original post Austin had NO inventory, but in another post I said it is back. Kingsgate inventory is still AWOL as is some of BCs.
