I am confused about how Wyndham points work in RCI now that all the changes have been made. If I deposit an ordinary, non-Wyndham fixed week into RCI and I do not need all the trading power points to make an exchange, I get points back that I can use later for a second week. What if I make a Wyndham points deposit? Can those points be used to exchange for more than one week? Can I later combine more than one Wyndham deposit for a fee?

The RCI Weeks website that's connected to Wyndham is a separate system. You can browse it without making a Wyndham points deposit to see what's available there and at what price in Wyndham points. If you want to be able to make reservations there, you need to transfer Wyndham points over to RCI. Once you've done that, say you transfer 200,000 points and book something for 130,000 points, your 70,000 unused points remain to be supplemented by future deposits.

I havent deposited Wyndham points into RCI. so this is my understanding based on reading the book, not my experience...With any luck someone that knows better than me will confirm what Im saying or correct it

as I understand it you can deposit points in 1000 point increments and the minimum deposit is 27000 points. each deposit will cost you one transaction credit, and housekeeping credits will be deducted from your Wyndham account

If you make several deposits the points will simply add up in RCI (without paying a combine fee) and they are good for 2 years.

You use the points according to this chart. The proper number of points plus a RCI exchange fee gets you your reservation

These are Wyndham points, not rci points, not rci tpu..dont confuse them... Using Wyndham points to exchange into RCI offer no discounts. every trade is according to this chart.

I've used it and I can say I get bummed out that finding those cheap 28K weeks are of the past. I have found some 74K weeks but they are fewer and farther behind.

The good thing is I now see Disney, NY and some other great resorts but booking them always seem to cost a lot more in points - just like the snapshot above says. Now there is no wiggle room it seems for freebies. Even not so desirable resorts at not so great times are expensive as far as points go. If it says 'red' week time - it is even for the resorts in FL where there is tons of inventory.

However, I found that when I call in to RCI they find the cheap weeks at 74K a lot faster than I ever could.
